I went into this game with unsure expectations but was pleasantly surprised. This game is fun, beautiful environments and really great character moments that even now 2 years later i still think about. If you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy or just enjoy good action adventure games then i highly recommend this. The gameplay is simple in ways but very fun to do.

I love this game! Especially with the new movie that just came out it is an awesome way to carry on the feeling of the marvel universe and characters. Very cool to play as starlord too! Love it!!

Fun game. I really felt they captured the charm of each individual member. But the best moments, in my opinion, is the bantering amongst the group. Highly recommend for fans of the Guardians.

The story is interesting and the gameplay is good.

I thought this game was a ton of fun and enjoyed playing it. Would recommend, especially if you get it on one of the many sales it goes on.

As an Avengers owner for PlayStation i was worried this game might follow the same path so i waited on picking it up. To my pleasant surprise this game can hold itself up on its own. The story is great. The graphics are amazing and its nice to have a Marvel game where the single player story is good. If your a Guardians fan or Marvel enjoyer this game will be for you. Just don't expect a 1000 hour grind fest game and you will enjoy every bit.

My first introduction to Guardians came with the movies, never been to much of a comic book guy btw. I was hesitant to try out this game at first due to Marvel Avengers being something of a letdown but man this game is awesome. They captured the characters perfectly. The dialogue between the characters is great and the best part of the game to me. Gameplay is actually pretty straight forward, which I found refreshing. Quite simple to be honest. One of the best games I've played this year(2021) and I hope they make a sequel:)

Despite being a big comic book/superhero fan I was a bit skeptical about the trailers I saw. However, this game was fantastic, heartfelt story, funny and fun to play. Gameplay might take a second to get used to as you just play as Star-Lord and need to understand as leader ordering the other Guardians in combat is a main point to of gameplay. Also, if you are only familiar with the MCU portrayals of these characters be warned there are differences. Their personalities are the same, but backstories will be a bit different.

Really lived up to the hype. The game is really good and got me hooked. I mostly like sports games and games like Assassins Creed, my favorite series ever being the Batman Arkham series. This has very good graphics, story and is easy enough for me to not lose interest. The mini puzzles (I hate them), are not complicated, boring or long, which is also a plus for me. Eventhough I love the MCU, the GotG are not really my favorites, and I still loved this game. Nothing like the Avengers demo that I played a while ago.

I didn’t know what to expect going into this game, and I was pleasantly blown away. The writing is amazing, easily the stand out. But that’s not to say that gameplay is lacking, it can be a little weird at times, but overall was a very enjoyable experience.

One of the greatest single player games to come out recently. This game caught me off guard. I purchased this game cause the buzz around it, while it being light, was enough for me to try it. Also the price drop helped as well. This game blew me away. It's a great new take on the Guardians and accurately showcases them better than the movies in my opinion. Also don't steer away because this game is entirely different from the Avengers came from the same studio. This game will not disappoint.

Guardians of the Galaxy was far better than I expected it to be. If you happened to see that E3 trailer years ago you might have been like me and wrote the game off as uninteresting. Then with the disappointing release of the Avengers game you may have felt that Guardians of the Galaxy wasn't worth giving a chance to. Oh boy, was I wrong! I was amazed at how big this game is and that it somehow managed to pull off a touching story filled with that Guardians style of humor. The interactions between the characters is what really puts this game over the top. Their dialogue was recorded together as a group and you can definitely tell the difference in how natural their many conversations feel. At first I was turned off by having a different cast for The Guardians of the Galaxy as I grew to know this group from the films. By the end though, I loved this cast even more than the movie cast. The environments and locations in the game are well varied and interesting. The story is good with plenty of funny moments. Be sure to explore as you move throughout the game as there are many small and a few bigger moments you can miss. The only place the game lacks is maybe in the gameplay and the occasional graphical bug or two you may encounter. As for the gameplay, you only get to play as Quill (Starlord) and you select both your own and your teammates' special attacks. Even though you will unlock new special attacks for each character as you level up and progress through the game, there is a lot of combat and it can start to feel a bit repetitive and tedious later on. Overall I think the game is excellent! It's fun, funny, and has a good story. What stands out most is the witty writing. If you are a fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy then I can't recommend this to you enough. 5 out of 5 stars

I have not yet beat this game but me and my fiancé have been playing it and it is really good! I was surprised. I got it as a Black Friday special week before last and I was sceptic about it because I love the movies and the characters are more comic book accurate. The story is great and has a lot of humor like the movies. The visuals are beautiful. I love how you can change the characters skins to the 2014 movie. You can find these skins hidden throughout the game. This game is a must buy!

While the game might not last as long as you’d like, every moment is enjoyable!! The soundtrack is killer, the gameplay is surprisingly deep and strategic, the character dialogue is fantastic as well!! As for cons, I ran into a few gamebreaking glitches and issues which prevented me from picking up collectibles. Nothing severe but as it’s a new release there are still some bugs to be patched. Starlords dialogue may get a little old as well. After the 100th time I heard him say “C’mon Rocket” I sighed a little wishing he didn’t repeat that line so much. Honestly, such minor gripes for a really fun and thoroughly enjoyable game!!

I was skeptical play only as Star-Lord on a game that has multiple members nah corny also made by the same company that made the Avengers slogfest game no thanks. I bit made the purchase I am on game+ mode right now second playthrough lol I'm not having a debate with my wife so yea I was wrong happy! I'm kidding but seriously I was wrong the RPG element of controlling the characters is fluent, decisive, as well as entertaining in real-time movement. The visuals are excellent, the 80's soundtrack amazing, the atmosphere color & design of each scene fits with the mood of the team & the moment they face. I laughed and cheered and finally had a sad reflective moment while playing. Jimmy Valvano made a speech that I always respected; "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day". This is a heck of a game enjoy

This game definitely went under the radar when it was first shown off. I didn't even bother looking at the gameplay for it, and that's a real shame because it is a quality product. The story is excellent, the graphics and art style too. The new voice actors for each of the characters deliver such outstanding performances that I didn't ever wish for their movie counterparts to have done them instead. Keep this one on your radar.

This was a great buy at $14. The story is good, but lik most videogames I am sure the boys will have it beat by the end of the month.

First of all we all know how bad movie game iterations can be, but this game completely took me by surprise. The funnest part about this game for me was the dialogue of the characters and the choices you can make throughout the game which can either have a negative/positive impact. The game is visually beautiful and quirky with jokes and light hearted banter between teammates. Makes me wish there was a DLC for this game
