great game with all the things a great game needs. if you are looking for a game u should get mass effect.but this game could have been better if they fixed the glitches and loading time

It's like Knights of the Old Republic (which was a great game) but without all of George Lucas' baggage. This game is worth it for the voice acting. Brilliant.

I've been playing BioWare games since Baldur's Gate first came out, and I've never been disappointed. When it comes to computer RPG's, they make excellent games. Although I normally play fantasy-based RPG's, this sci-fi world is excellently crafted, with a mixture of incredibly high-tech (FTL relays, ammo that snap-freezes your opponents) and simple firearms. There are no laser rifles here, just pistols, shotguns, assault and sniper rifles. The three major skill groups of weaponry, technology, and biotics create different play styles and help the replay value of the game.

This game is beautiful even if you don't like RPGs. It is fun and enjoyable and easy to play. This is a real good game and a must buy in my opinion.

Where to begin? Well first, I remember playing those wonderful, magical, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games, and when I first saw Mass Effect I felt a close bond to merely the feel of the game. Some might say that Mass Effect is just a rip-off of SW:KOOR, but I'm not so sure. I think that though Mass Effect is reminscent of KOOR, it also has a feel of it's own. The Shaded and darker feel of the game gives it a slightly more mature feel and makes the game edgier. I love this game. Mass Effect brings back the true meaning of an RPG. Well Done.

incredible game that anyone who likes realtime fighting RPG's should buy. the length varies by how much you want to do in the game.

I was skeptical about the combat in Mass Effect because I wasn't a fan of shooters. It turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time. I'm anxiously waiting for future downloadable content, books, and sequels. There are a variety of ways you can handle any given situation in this game, so this game has appeal for a broad audience. I personally love the leveling system and the ability to save your progress anywhere.

this game is wicked sick but way to much time in elevators seriously other than that there are a lot of random bugs and a lot of talking

This is a great game, but has to step up in the face of games like Fallout 3. Like that game, the controls take a little getting use to, and although become easy to use, I still found myself pushing the wrong button from time to time until the end. The use of a vehicle was nice, but there needs to be an easier way to figure out where you need to go when on foot and the inventory system needs to be tweaked. There were also a few times my character would get stuck in the scenery. But all in all, an enjoyable game.

Great game but hard sometimes and the makko has a confusing gun but overall a good space adventure of the ages.

Overal Mass effect is a great RPG and is what you should expect from the creators of KOTOR. Its a truly satisfying experience with the exception of some boring side missions. The difficulty system seems abit off as well with easy being way too easy, and medium being too hard.

Develped by BioWare (one of the greatest RPG makers) you expect a lot going into this game. Mass Effect delivers 100% and is the RPG of 2007. Great story, great combat, and all of the sci-fi elements blend together to create one the best RPG since Knights of the Old Republic on the original Xbox. Mass Effect is a must buy for every Xbox 360 gamer.

I got this game for Christmas and I have not been able to stop playing it, got the newest down load for it and now the game rocks even more. Its fun, the conversation is clever and witty. So many different ways your character can go I like that. If you haven't gotten the game yet get it as it takes role playing where it hasn't gone before.

Great game. Never got it to run on PC. Actually bought a 360 just to play this and its sequel. With better reliability and a large library, this is the best time to get an XBox 360.

Also, there is no reloading guns. Where do all the bullets come from? Its like an Infinite amount of bullets, but the guns can overheat. The mako can be hard to turn around.

Hey everyone, I got this game around Christmas time and was psyched cause i love all the Bioware games from previous consoles.. I immediately put it in the disc drive and booted it up.. I got through the character creation screen and about 10 minutes of the game my xbox froze.. i restarted it froze in the same spot.. so i returned it and got a new copy .. it froze in the same spot again.. I went online and saw that alot of people were having trouble with it cause it was filling up the cache so i called microsoft and did the cache cheat. It didn't work and my graphic card in my xbox went out.. Microsoft doesnt warranty that. they wanted 90 bucks so i decided NO thanks .. and bought a new Elite and the game works just fine although i think the game is about 10 percent too much for the xbox. I would strongly recommend staying away from this game if you have a first generation xbox like i did. I have completed the game thus so far and enjoyed it so much but it costed me an extra 450 bucks lol

Definitely worth playing. The game starts out a little slow. It takes some time before you're able to pick up some decent weapons and armor. But hang in there, once the game gets moving, it's totaly worth the wait.

This game is really a lot of fun to play the storyline is well done and the the game play is what draws you in further. If you liked knights of the old repulic then you will love this game. It is made by the same company and it truly is a game of grand scale.

This game is like playing the cut scenes and the way the text trees are set up you really get drawn into the game. The fighting is excellent, think Rainbow Six Vegas in third person. It has a somewhat the same cover system. I love it

Mass Effect is a great game for those that enjoy thematic story elements, are RPG fans, or even shooter fans. The only downside is often times the game pauses to load up visual information; sometimes textures look bland until they pop in. If you can get past that then you will find a great journey ahead.
