So happy this came in time for Mother's Day! I had to pay to get faster shipping to make it in time. Only wish that the faster shipping was a little cheaper! But still, not Best Buys fault, and the discs came in amazing condition!

Season 3 promises to be just as great as 1 & 2. I have just seen the first part of Season 3 so I have little to say except that the post WW1 comings and goings of the young people in the changing British landscape appear to be taking over. Amazing how one can identify and feel the joys and sorrows of an aristocratic family whose core values are underpinned by goodness and human understanding and love, even if they are separate and apart from their underlings, whom they treat with deference to their station. It's quite a give and take to watch. Fascinating, really. Top notch stuff.

This show is apparently the equivalent of visual crack. My wife and daughter love it. I don't understand why. It makes reading the newspaper seem like riding a rollercoaster. I tried sitting through one of my wife's benders on this show and I actually chuckled at one of the dry remarks and felt so dirty I had to go shower. Despite my feelings on it, it must be a good show, since my wife somehow got my daughter and mother-in-law hooked on it.

It was so interesting because the story revolves around actual events that were happening in the early part of the 20th century and it tells how each class,( aristocrats and working class) in England were affected by these events. The Abbey itself is impressive as are the people that were portrayed because they each knew what their place in society was and tried to live up to what was expected of them

Downton Abbey is an absolutely fantastic series. It has been nominated for many Emmys. You are transported back in time to early 20th century grand living in a magnificent English estate belonging to an Earl and his family. It is reminiscent of Upstairs/Downstairs in that we are privy to the ups and downs of the servants. It is highly entertaining.

Every episode captivates me from start to finish. I believe I have shed tears during each show because they all make me feel connected to the characters on such a strong emotional level. I love this series and look forward to each episode more & more. I only watch them when my boyfriend goes out of town, so they are a special treat just for me.

If you love historical books and/or movies you will LOVE Downton Abbey. It follows an aristocratic family and their servants from the first world war to the effects of that war and its aftermath . You just fall in love this tight knit group of people all trying to survive their individual ups and downs.

had watched season one and two and didn't want to start watching the fourth season on TV without seeing the third. the library was out of it and I would have had an extremely long wait for season three. With my rewards and the sale price I was able to purchase it for a minimal cost.

If you're as obsessed with DA as I am, this is a must have for your collection! All in all, it was a very good season though darker than the previous 2, and more melodramatic thanks to cast members' contracts expiring. Blu-ray image looks much better than HD broadcasts too.

Supprisingly gripping...you fall in love with the characters lives and plights. My wife and I cant stop watching. We pop in a Blue Ray disc and 4 hours later we have to force ourselves to go to bed and wait til the next evening to start it all again.

When you've finished Binge watching House of Cards, you can relax with Season 3 of the hit PBS series, Downton Abbey. It's something fans of the program need to relive this period in British history over and over again.

Once you have seen Season's 1 and 2 you clammer for Season 3. Such wonderful Cinematography and actors, wonderful writer for all the seasons; we are now awaiting Season 5, sad when Season 4 finished! You're hooked from Seaon 1 on.

The third season of Downton Abbey has more dramatic twists and turns than the first two and rivals Game of Thrones in how it deals with certain key characters. It will captivate your attention and leave you anxiously awaiting next year.

This the best serial that BBC has ever filmed even better than Upstairs/Downstairs.Each star is so interesting that somehow you begin to feel that you are part of the household. The scenery ls spectacular. .

This series, although fictional, actually is historically correct. The script is entertaining and actors/actresses are fantastic. I highly recommend this series. My husband and I look forward to the next release.

Everyone should watch Downton Abbey. It's the greatest thing to come from across the pond since Shakespeare and Captain John Smith. This show is what TV was made for.

And this Blu-ray copy brings out the beauty and authenticity that this show is famous for. A must-have for any fan of British high quality television.

The best thing that happened was that I was very anxious to watch it and I guess because I placed the order before noon, I received it the very next day! Super.

Takes you to a place in time that was very interesting and historical. Once you start watching, you can not stop. Authenticity is amazing.

What a great series to watch. It holds your attention and the scenery, costumes, and acting are great. I love the period vehicles and trains.
