This show is wonderful, and the way it is packaged is gorgeous. Nice and compact but doesn't sacrifice presentation or safety of the discs for it.

Drama of English wealth in early 20th century. You can identify with each characters issues. The Dowanger,(Lady Violet), is a great actress. Love her wit. Each character is believable in their roles, and a"chain of command" is noted amongst the workers. Lady Mary is stunning! As is Lady Sybil! I enjoyed watching each phase of the story unfold, in each episode, through each season.. Can't wait to purchase Season 5, now available. I was behind when the season started on PBS. Can't wait to see what happens next!!!

This is a great DVD set of the famed Downton Abbey TV series. The set includes seasons 1-4 and each season has special features. It is cheaper to buy this collection than the four seasons individually. If you are a long-time fan or just starting to watch Downton Abbey, this DVD collection is for you.

Once you get intimate with the characters of this series, it is must see tv. Even though some of the storyline is repetitive and predictable, it is enjoyable to listen and revel in the language of 1920's Great Britain. I would love to see a single airing depicting a series of one-liners by Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham, played masterfully by actress Maggie Smith.

If you haven't watched Downton Abbey, you are missing our. This is an excellent series that is great for couples. That's right, there are enough political, historical, and intrigue for the guys as well as all the things that appeal to the ladies. This collection is economical way to watch the first four seasons. The video quality was excellent. No problems thus far.

What can I say but that I loved it! Being able to watch again at my own pace allowed me to view more closely the costumes, hair styles, jewelry, furniture and mostly the required manners of that era. Hats off to the Brits for sharing their history and educating us. I'll be buying year 6 when it becomes available.

I love this show and sad to see that its season's will be coming to an end which is why I purchased these season so I can watch them OVER AND OVER! If you looking for a binge-worthy show that is full of INCREDIBLE ACTORS/ACTRESSES-This is your show!

I was looking for something to watch since I didn't have cable or Internet for a while. I had heard this was a good series and people couldn't wait until the next episode. Well, I was one of those people. Once I started watching, I couldn't stop.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I'm now going through Downton Abbey withdrawal now that I've finished watching all the DVD's. Now patiently waiting for the next series of DVDs to be released.

The series is a great one to just sit back, relax, and enjoy! A fabulous series with ups and downs. You learn to love and hate the characters and it keeps you intrigued and wanting more! Awesome buy!

I am thrilled with the Downton Abbey DVD's. My set contains Seasons 1, 2, 3, & 4. My family watch thes episode with me, it's a fun family affair.

One of the best TV series out there. The Brits take the time to really develop the story and the characters. Thoroughly enjoyable and appeals to all ages and genders.

I missed the first four seasons so was happy when this was available. The series is great and now I understand better the characters from season 5.

great acting, great stories, and not stretched/drawn out like other series. highly recommend this...enjoyable...can watch over and over again.

Great historical series and such a great price for the first 4 seasons. I haven't seen anything as good as this series.
