You will fall in love with this series and invested in characters and storylines. It’s a continuation on Jane Austen’s novel she wrote first 100 pages so it’s bolder, touches on truths doesn’t hide the sexual or even the dark side of life in a few scenes. Mainly takes place on in a lovely seaside village and countryside plus London. The main heroine is Charlotte Hayward she’s beautiful sweet yet very headstrong, opinionated with strong morals. I feel she can do anything she sets her mind to. Rose Williams is perfection in her role! Sidney Parker you might judge in the beginning but as he comes to terms with his past you will see him soften and become the man that he was meant to be. Theo James is simply the best that I can’t see anyone else play this role at his level and do it justice. Look up on YouTube all the wonderful videos created of this love story just type in Sidney & Charlotte. The entire cast is amazing! To name a few Anne Reid, Crystal Clarke, Leo Suter, Charlotte Spencer, Mark Stanley, Jack Fox, Kate Ashfield and Kris Marshall. Sometimes humorous lines you will never forget, all have their own storyline to be developed in this Period Drama. You will watch wanting more which was Andrews Davies intent to continue the storyline. I’m positive this will happen so hold on to those hopes. Can’t give it anything less than 5 stars...you will be addicted and asking for more!!

I purchased Sanditon on DVD recently I watched it these last couple days Riveting love story..Kept me on the edge of my seat. I do agree, the storyline needs to pick up where it left off The ending left us wanting more..like a happy ending maybe? Every character exemplified the storyline quite well The Director did a fantastic job..Please give us another chapter

A wonderful series, but, then, how could it fail to be, with the combination of Austen and PBS?
