A compelling look at the people involved with King Henry VIII, and the revolution which he wrought. It is written and acted with depth. No character is all good or all bad. Henry is human, though mastered by his appetites.. Ambition takes its payment from us in ways we would not choose. Vengeance is not sweet, but appalling and mortifying to the man of conscience. I intend to read the books, now that I have enjoyed this program.

I love all PBS or Acorn programming. Tho American TV is my heart, british programming is awsum. I love the villages,the land scape. WolfHall isn t my cup of tea but I have a theater room and it is good to watch and enjoy.

This is an extremely well-produced adaptation of Hilary Mantel's books. I'm not in love 100% with the casting and the extra features could have been more engaging, but neither detracts from my overall impression.

I loved the book and this DVDs version is true to it. It's fascinating and better than any made up story. What a time in history.

Dozens of series out there about Henry VIII. This is another version, focused on the rise of Thomas Cromwell during the time of Ann Boleyn. Understated performance by Mark Rylance as Cromwell. My only complaint is that I wish the series would continue on.

i have watched many a mini-series on the life on Henry 8th. This series rates right up there with the best of them. The always watchable Damien Lewis is excellent as Henry and the supporting cast compliments him very well.

The cast does a fantastic job in copitulating story. History told well!

Big fan of the Tudor era in England and Wolf Hall does a great job at looking, not at monarch as much as the men and women behind the throne. Great acting and beautiful sets.

Intellectual, beautifully done, story which will keep you interested - note this is a non action film but the action is in the interplay between the cast of characters and the statues in which you would like to obtain.

I enjoy period pieces and this was on PBS this Spring and did not get to see all of the episodes. This DVD is worth purchasing as I can't get it on demand. The acting is supurb and the story is presented from a very unique perspective.
