I bought this model to use with my new smoker. I needed multiple temperature probes so I could measure the internal temperature of the smoker and the internal temperature of what I was smoking. The App was easy to find and install ( I have an iPhone) and the Bluetooth pairing and app setup are simple. As far as temperature accuracy, when I plugged in the first probe inside my house it picked up the house temperature the same as my thermostat and weather station had so it seems accurate. I have only used it with my smoker during the burn in process to monitor the internal temperature. I set a target and the app alarm went off when it was reached and the base unit alarm went off also. So far I am very pleased with this unit and have had no issues with the Bluetooth connection dropping. I would definitely buy it again.

Very happy with Maverick Redi Chek. I like that it has four probes we can use it in our smoker, BBQ, or in our oven & is Bluetooth.

Bluetooth Nightmare

Like quite a few other reviews on Amazon, Bluetooth would not reliably connect and stay connected. I happen to have a Sony Xperia Z5. Also the app has no temp graph capability nor can it alert for high and low set points like the non-Bluetooth RF model can. Also you cannot toggle between probes on the temp display/transmitter. Only interaction other than power is C/F select and bluetooth on/off.
Don't waste your time with this. Get the legacy RF Maverick thermometer.
I will be returning this at the earliest opportunity.
