    It's a microwave. Put food in it. Set time, hit start. Other than that, way to many bells and whistles. Oh well, long as it heats what I put in it.

    Problem with the door after a year. Light does not open when you open the door thereby rendering the unit not usable.

    After having this serviced twice-total 260$, we still don’t have a working microwave. So frustrating, disappointing, and ridiculous! Zero customer service from Maytag. Doing a little digging I see this has happened frequently! We are empty nesters and it is used very little and still died! We have been great costumers to Best Buy, please make this right.

    Have had nothing but issues from my Maytag appliances that I bought. I bought this in late 2016, had to have geek squad out in early 2017 to fix it, have been having sporadic issues with it since late 2018 and now it’s totally stopped working in early 2020. Needless to say I will not be replacing it with another Maytag!

    Had them come fix twice and now they are replacing. When you open the door the light doesn’t come on so it thinks you never opened it.

    Not the best experience. We have had this unit repaired twice in the first year. At least the sent the techs to the house to do the repairs.

    Known flaw, Maytag won't fix

    This product has a well-known flaw with its door switch which renders it useless unless fixed. It doesn't show up right away, but it does show up early in the product's life. Ours was bought about a year ago. Maytag refuses to fix it as a product design flaw. The rude customer service rep wanted to charge at least half the cost of a new one to send a repairman out. Stay away from this product.

    Damaged upon installation

    Drilled the holes, installed the brackets, and slid the microwave in place. Screwed the first bolt in to the microwave through the upper cabinet successfully. Attempted the second bolt but it just wouldn't catch. Tried everything and after trying to pry the bolt out of the hole with vise grips for over 10 minutes, we discovered that the hole on the top of the microwave was missing the screw housing that allows you to attach it together. At first, Maytag wanted me to take the ENTIRE thing back to Best Buy (including the brackets that took us about an hour to install). No dice. They are sending out a service technician in 4 days to get this resolved. Already threw out our old microwave prior to installation. I hope to be able to adjust my rating, but right now it is a big fat zero.

    This microwave looks great and cooks great, when it works. It has a faulty door switch that makes the microwave usless. the company will not fix it.. They offer a "buy out option" instead of fixing it. The money they give to replace the microwave is half of what it costs. Don't waste your time..
