We like everything about this washing machine except the fact that it is a little noisy when operating. We have it in our basement so it's not a problem, but I wouldn't want it in a laundry room/closet on the first or second floor of my home.

This big tub machine doesn't put enough water in to cover clothes which makes me uncomfortable of a good clean. Yes, followed directions. No difference. I didn't want something that I have to babysit. This is energy saving to the extreme.

Other reviews had said that this Washing machine was loud and they were NOT KIDDING. Its LOUD. However, it does a great job and it has a fabulous price - so therefore, I completely accept it and I am very happy with what we got for the price we paid.

This is a very quiet unit. Fits large loads. Great price!

No problems with it. It does the job well!!! The only thing I would change is an easier way to cancel it once the wash has begun. It says to push button 3 times to cancel but it didn't work. Maybe I did it wrong. Overall it's a good washer!!

I have had this washer for a few weeks and am pleasantly surprised. It is user friendly and actually really big inside.

It needs to fill up more with water must use other setting . Normal doesn't wet the clothes all the way and soap is still on it . It's weird .

We weren't looking for anything fancy and this fit the bill. It is as advertised.

Bought this along with the matching dryer (MEDC215EW) for my Son's new apartment and while they are a little on the noisy side, he loves them. He likes that it has a good amount of space so that he can knock out all of his clothes in one load. He's also a brand snob and likes the fact that he has a Maytag W/D (he says he's "Taggin'" lol) I was very lucky to catch these on sale. Such a great deal.

My Whirlpool washer finally broke down after 12 years. This was a traditional top loader washer with agitator. And this Maytag is my first HE top loader washer. I read many articles about HE machines - and how completely different they are from traditional washers. So I really needed to rethink my approach to this HE washer. Many complain about HE machines - because they do not know how they function. Some reviewers have said that it is loud. I guess, being used to traditional washer for 12 years, I have found this washer much quieter. My wife - who is sensitive to noise, find this machine pleasant. The sound is not the same as the traditional washers. So you might have to get used to it. 2. Being HE machine, it uses much, much less water than traditional washer. You have to be patient with the wash. You might be tempted to open the lid and look inside, whether there is enough water. BUT remember that HE machines do NOT immerse your clothes with water. So if you see dry part of the clothes on the top, don't worry. It will be washed. 3. Washes cleaner than my traditional washer. My wife and I were amazed. Our regular wash looked and smelled cleaner than being washed in our old one. Make sure you ONLY use HE detergent. 4. Spin cycle wrings out the water from the clothes almost dry, so the clothes do not have to spent much time in a dryer. This saves money. All in all, I love this machine. The price $379 (with FREE shipping) was great value. As long as you remember that HE washers are completely different than traditional ones, you will have no unnecessary worries.

This is a very good washer especially at the price offered. I checked the price at other stores but BestBuy seems to have the best deal.
