This is a terrible washing machine. It was dented upon arrival, and it was so loud.

You know how it is, old washer broke down and had to find a new one. I decided to go with Maytag this time because of their reputation. I was amazed at the sturdy construction, quality parts and LARGE mouth to put clothing in. My old machine had a medium size opening making it tough when putting in sheets, blankets, and towels. Not the case with this machine. The lid opening is the same width as the tub so it all just drops straight down. The auto water height sensing works great. You can hear it doing the sensing and that is normal so don't be alarmed. It's not nearly as loud as the auto sensing I've heard on other machines. Washes the cloths great and the High Efficiency washing uses much less water than my old washer. Make sure to use (and most on the market are now) HE (High Efficiency) detergents. You'll see the marking on the container regardless of brand, they all seem to make it now. It is a lower bubble detergent that cycles through the cleaning jets without clogging them like regular overly sudsy detergents can. Great washer, great price, great efficiency.

Clothes get very clean and the machine is efficient, however, I was not expecting the noise level. I know washer machines are not silent but this one is a good deal more noisy than my old school machine. Still a very good buy.

I am not use to an energy efficient washer taking over an hour to wash a load of cloths and sounding like a 2-cylinder engine while doing it. I decided on this model/brand based on my past history with Maytag and being very happy with my last set. This set truly disappoints me - I now shut the laundry room door while they run and it take me twice as long to do the weekly laundry. The matching dryer does not dry the cloths without having to run them twice to dry either. How on earth is this energy efficient? Think twice before making your purchase. American brands I support you, and beg you to step it up to the quality we once had as a society!

I’ve had this washing machine since January 2021, less then two years and it was bought brand new and it is already trash. It makes a loud whistle noise at least 10 times throughout the cycle (like so loud it will scare you if you are caught off guard), does not agitate the loads and leaves the clothes sopping wet. Paid $680 for a washing machine that lasted less then 2 years? Would’ve been better off a used Samsung of Amana off of marketplace instead of a brand new Maytag! Word on the street is that the brand has turned to crap and a lot of them fail right after the 1 year mark when the factory warranty expires. Smh why do they even waste the cost of the silver tag attached to the top of the machine suggesting that there’s a 10 year limited parts warranty? How about guarantee it works for at least two years. Is that asking too much when customers are spending $700?

This washer was easy to use right out the box. Has several cycles as many of today's machines but what I did find out the larger the loads the longer the machine cycle's are with the water conservation sensor. It also has a cycle that cleans the barrel with refresh which was a surprise from our old washer of 7 yrs ago. For the total price of 570.00 with new parts on sale was a great buy and would suggest this machine to anyone looking for a quality machine with 10 yr parts warranty through Maytag.

Efficient washer, I was expecting it to be quieter but overall a good machine

I have to say this was not an easy decision in the first place, coming from a front-load experience. However, I've found it satisfactory in all regards, except for the spinning which can't compare with my previous front-loader. I would recommend it to anyone who would like a traditional top-loader.

My last washing machine was so old anything would have been better. So I'm grateful that this machine offers so much more and clean clothes. Excellent machine capacity, multiple cycle options, and the auto sensing feature is great. My one draw back is it's a little louder than I expected.

We bought this when our Samsung washer died after less than three years. We wanted something with the agitator since the Samsung was East to overload and that caused the clutch ($500 part) to die. This washer is louder and doesn’t have the time left on display but works fine.

I'm a fan of top loaders and had a budget when buying a new washer. This is the loudest washer I've ever had. If there is more room in your budget, consider buying a different one.

This item was purchased online at the Heightod the COVID pandemic. The site was easy to use and allowed for comparison of brand and details. the installation crew was fully suited from head to toe with Mask and Facial shields. They were effective, efficient, and extremely professional. My previous machine was from Best buy and it lasted over 15 years. I am sure I will get that or more. I also had the option of no interest financing for 24 months. Wow, Great experience...Only my previous dryer had failed, but I bought a new set. The installation allowed to have the working old machine moved to another site (my Garage) and it is now working still foe my Niece. Wonderful options across the board.

WOW to all the features this washer has! No button to pause a load when it is in wash cycle. JUST lift the lid and add a piece of clothing at any time! To check your soap level--just lift the lid and look! Lots of choices on what kind of cycle is available for what you are washing. The lights are great to tell you what stage the wash cycle is in. You can choose extra rinse cycles if you want. Deep water wash is great and YOU have the ability to have the washer recalculate the total deep water level by selecting the clean washer setting. This eliminates a dumb washer form deciding you only need 2 inches of water to wash 12 inches of dirty clothes!!! The design of the center agitator is very unique and nothing like the old ones. Clothes do not get caught on any parts of it and it does a very good job of cleaning. Prior to purchasing, I read a lot of downloaded manuals on different washing machines and was flat out amazed at the selections available on this washer compared with others. I also read a lot of reviews which gives insight to the actual user of the washing machine. "they have been there-- done that"

I had an old top loader and still wanted to be able to add clothes once the cycle started. This washer is efficient, water conscious, and holds a lot!! Have washed many different types of loads including rugs & I know it will serve us for many years to come.

I should have purchased sooner. Great tub size for washing bedding. Machine much quieter than my old one and my laundry is cleaner.

Works very well and gets my clothes very clean including my huge loads which I toss in frequently. A big upgrade from my previous washer. I would definitely recommend this product.

Unit was louder than anticipated, cycles ran longer than my previous washer, and the clothes were still pretty wet causing me to run two dryer cycles to get the clothes sufficiently dry.

Easy to use, efficient and energy efficient. Makes a bit of a jolt noise when shifting functions.

Great looking but two things - computer is sensitive about water flow - if you have low pressure, this unit will error out. Lastly - when this goes into spin it sounds like a runaway freight train. Also isn’t the best at self-balancing - often requires help with blankets and heavy towels.
