I knew nothing about the washer before purchasing. The sales associate asked the right questions and she led me to this washer. She explained how the washer would wash Queen comforters, it was the perfect size for me. I've been using it for about 2 weeks, washes great. I am giving it a 4 rating because it is a bit noisy, not an appliance you can allow to run before bed. Aside from the noise, it's perfect with multiple options/ settings.

Had 12year old Maytag Bravos Working ,but needing repairs, bearings making it sound like Jet when spinning. Got this as open-box (display) was looking at Whirlpool with similar features. Liked that Maytag had 10yr warranty on Xmission, Have used for a few months,Make sure you take a little time to load evenly you will be rewarded .It will take an enormus amount of clothes and they will get clean. Love Deep Water Wash, use only liquid detergent in dispenser. Also found Extra rinse helps

My old washer was dying so I had to buy a new one. I read review after review on a bunch of different washers. I went to every appliance store in the area and talked to the staff to get their take on them. I thought I was going to be stuck paying close to $1000 just to get a good quality washer. It seemed that if I wanted quality I had to pay for a bunch of features that I didn't want. I was actually at another appliance store when I first found this one. I talked to the salesman, and he couldn't stop raving about it, and even told me not to bother with the next model up (about $200 more) because the only real benefit was an even larger load capacity. I went home and started reading reviews, and was still impressed. I found that BB did have them, but it was not originally suggested to me when I was there prior. I went back to BB and talked with a different sales person who instantly suggested it to me. I will say that I am not sure how I feel about the glass lid for fear of it breaking, but that seams to be the standard in the mid to high range washers now. I am so glad that I found a quality washer that didn't break the bank.

Bought this just a few weeks ago, no issues, works great. Saw a lot of mixed reviews on these “new-fangled” HE washers without agitators, but Googled to learn how specifically they work. Once I understood how they are different from my 17-year old traditional machine that just died, it cleared up up doubts from many of the “bad” reviews. Also, found out ALL machines are HE now per government regs, so even the ones with agitators don’t work like old models did. TBH, if we regularly had a lot of heavily soiled clothes, I would have evaluated having my old machine repaired, but no farmers or mechanics or kids playing sports, just 2 office workers, so our normal laundry needs are well-suited to this model. I really like the bigger tub for larger loads. Took me a few tries to get the soap right - less is better - and I will likely upgrade to Tide as I think a better detergent is more important given how HE washers work. I’ve only done about 15 loads but no complaints, everything comes out clean - from jeans to towels to sheets to comforters to workout clothes. The cycle is longer than I am used to so I do have to accommodate for that when I am contemplating throwing in a load in the evening (don’t mess with my bedtime! ;) My only quibble is that after the spin cycle, the clothes aren’t as “dry” as they promote; it’s comparable to the results of my old washer, so I don’t see any significant reduction in time in the dryer. Overall, so far am pleased with the purchase, Best Buy had a great sale and great service. Did get the extended Best Buy service plan because nothing is really built to last anymore...time will tell!

Not the best unit out there... The bearings for the drum on this (and many other similar machines) are a known issue... Water gets past the seal and the bearings go bad which leads to the machine sounding like a jet engine taking off when it's spinning. 5yr protection agreement is HIGHLY recommended if you are like us and have 4 kids / are constantly doing laundry. Google "why does my washing machine sound like a jet engine" - Even knowing this,we still bought this machine because we don't like the front load ones because of the mold issues... When the bearings fail after the warranty period, there are kits available with the replacement parts for under a hundred dollars. I'll fix it myself when the time comes.

This washer exceeded my expectations. It has a huge tub to fill clothes in to wash. My dinosaur washer is not comparable to this new washer. Its very easy to use. My 9 year old even know how to use it. You just follow the prompts thats on the knob to select your desired washing cycle. I am happy that i chose this washer.

Purchased for a rental property. Didn't want to spend a lot, but wanted a large capacity for beach towels and sheets. It's a nice washer for the money. I will say it's a bit noisier than I'm used to, but my comparison machine cost $1500. The more expensive machine in my main house is on the second floor where noise matters, and this one is in the basement so noise is not a concern.

It is quite a good one. I have yet to have any problems with it at all, and we do fairly heavy /dirty loads. Everything comes out clean and the washer is very easy to use. Couldnt have bought a better machine.

When washing the glass top steams up, so it's impossible to see how the clothes are washing. The machine makes a weird noise while washing. I thought it was some sort of alarm. I do like soap dispenser. It has a large capacity drum, no agitator so more clothes can washed during a washing cycle. Water fills slowly.

This washer has a builtin load sensor that determines how much water to put into the washer. There is no setting to allow owner to set the size of the load. Because Maytag is trying to make the washer efficient the sensor does not put enough water in to cover the clothes on top. Furthermore, since the washer just rotates the clothes back and forth the ones on top stay on top. So basically, any clothes at the top of the pile don't get wet and don't get clean. There is no way to force the washer to add more water. In the picture below the two purple shirts in the middle of the load are almost completely dry after the washer is filled with water during the wash cycle.

Excellent item; good price; easy to operate; works well; easy purchasing/ordering and easy Pick-Up/Delivery. I would recommend this item to friends and family.

This washer has a larger load capacity than I anticipated, which is great. I choose this model because it still had nobs to manipulate the settings; while a fully digital board is visually appealing I worry about it becoming damaged and needing repairs. This model had a fewer number of digital options so that was my final factor in my decision process. Overall, I am pleased with the quality, efficiency and the overall cost.

I looked online for recommendations for an inexpensive but quality washer/dryer set. Consumer Reports and others mentioned this Maytag system and compared it to others up to 3 times the price. When we got it (EXCELLENT delivery people!!), I put it to use right away. The washer holds a LOT of clothes and does a great job in cleaning them. The only thing that originally confuses me was that it has a sensor to gauge the weight of the load, so it makes some odd sounds and seems not to be working for a few minutes until it has decided what the load size is. Once you get used to it, it's fine and not a problem. The dryer works great too. Laundry time is much easier and faster with such a large load capacity

This is not the most quiet washer you'll probably ever own. But it gets the job done, and it definitely is cleaning the clothes! I can see where if you are used to larger machines with more water you may be a little put off. I was most of my regular loads on the bulky setting and sometimes even with an extra rinse. I've always felt the clothes have gotten clean.

I love my new washer. It is easy to use and does a great job with big loads. I really like that there is not an agitator in the middle especially when washing bedding.

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews regarding the HE aspect of the washer. It was on sale for $469, and it is a Maytag, so I decided to give it a try. I have had it for 5 months now, and absolutely love it! It does use a lot less water and detergent. In the beginning it was kind of fun to watch it go through the wash cycle. Yep, I actually watched it go through a whole cycle! The clothes come out clean and smell wonderful. Glad I took the leap!

Very good quality. Large capacity, very quiet operating. Not much movement during spin cycle. Heavy loads and light loads stay in balance. The washing and rinsing cycle seem to position the clothes so they spin with very little vibration. I have a line on the floor to check if it's moved. After three weeks of use it hasn't moved. My old machine had to be repositioned about every week. The glass door is great, you know exactly where your clothes are positioned when they spin. Great deal at Best Buy right now. I've always purchased Whirlpool or Kenmore , but so far I'm really impressed with Maytag.

The pluses outweigh the minuses for this machine. I am barely 5 feet tall and I had difficulty reaching the bottom of the tub in many washers. This washer is noisy as it runs, but I had been aware of that from reviews and the salesman. However, it is in a separate laundry room, so not a problem. Other than that, I am more than satisfied. Love not having an agitator. No more twisted tangled sheets!

This was exactly the washer we were looking for and can easily tackle bedsheets and towels. The lack of agitator in the new top loading machines is such a blessing. The only minor hindrance is the start button is not as sensitive to touch as I would have liked and it takes more than one or two hits to get it right...maybe it is me. Overall, excellent functionality and great value for buck.
