Purchased this early in the month. Arrived on time. We used it couple of times. It turned off on us. So we watched it do a full cycle (quick wash). Even though the washer was balanced, towards the end of the cycle, the washer would go ballistic, move and vibrate with a loud noise. The first time it did this, we cut off power. Readjusted to make sure the washer was level. Turns out during delivery it was damaged. We noticed a bulge of the metal casing in the back. Not very evident but when you compare it with a new machine, it becomes evident. Now, we have a replacement and is much quieter and does not vibrate or trip itself. The issue we had during the ordeal was dealing with 1 hr- 2.5 hr hold times with Geek squad and trying to get a replacement delivered.
Full story: After we found the issue (2nd day) we called Best-buy customer service, we were transferred to Geek squad. Rude agents (first couple of times) and then finally a gentleman, who listened and explained our options. We choose to replace instead of getting a Maytag Tech out. The replacement was scheduled but we have change of appointments and had to reschedule. However, the driver called to deliver on the original day, we said that we had already rescheduled, he asked us to call deliveries, rude agent said that we were in the wrong and she did not have the rescheduling information, hung up on us (or may be call dropped). We tried calling back, 2 hours later agent and then tells us that the delivery is complete and there is nothing she can do. We start explaining what happened and that we still have the original washer. In the middle of this call drops again. (They are experiencing higher call volumes and that may be the reason). Finally it took about 4 agents to find one that understood that we were still dead in the water with a bad washer. Rescheduled a delivery and the washer was replaced. Over all experience with buying the washer is 5 star, price and quality of the product is also 5 star. Geeksquad agent who are rude and dont have the patience to listen to a customer who has been on hold for 2 hours is no excuse.
Would I buy again from bestbuy: YES. but will use more caution when we have to reschedule etc, the agents need more training on how to handle calls.
Thank you
SS

First, I was so excited to purchase a washer and dryer set in this pitch Black color! I love the front load option. I have a small laundry closet so opening up from the top would be problematic. The description said I was could wash over 15 towels at a time which is totally true. There’s a steam option, and and extra power option for deeper clean. I’m very happy with my purchase and would suggest it for other buyers.

This replaces a 9 year old full size Bosch washer that was still working, but the cabinet was rusting.
I like the choice of cycles and options on this Maytag. I always use the extra rinse (habit on my part), and the clothes come out clean. I use white vinegar in place of fabric softener and the clothes actually don't smell like pickles, so I believe the final rinse manages nicely. I have less lint in my dryer with this model as well.
I've actually printed out the pages of the manual with the various cycle options and descriptions and keep it with the washer. This has been helpful in trying to select the best cycle.
I have a cabinet over my washer and dryer, and I must be very careful to not lean over the washer when it's running. It's very easy to inadvertently bump the power button and turn the machine off in the middle of a cycle. Since putting a counter top over the washer and dryer, this is no longer an issue since the edge of the counter sticks out over the edge a bit and prevents one from leaning into the power button accidentally.
I do wish the door wasn't tinted so that I could see inside of it. I can't help but wonder what they are trying to hide? LOL

Have only done about 15 loads of laundry with the new machine but love it. It’s quiet, clothes are clean, and easy to use - straight forward settings panel.

Product works like it should. We bought the set and have had it for a while now and it works great. Only issue i have is there is no easy access to clean the washer filter. You have to lift the machine. Alot of them have an access panel to the filter this washer does not. Dryer works great with no complaints.

After about 4 months of researching washer/dryer sets, we purchased the Maytag 4.5 Cu. Ft. 10 Cycle HE front loading washer and accompanying dryer. We have had the set for approximately one month. We are satisfied with the purchase. It is very quiet. It has many washing options. The longest wash has been close to 3 hours for a heavy King sized comforter or bulky towels, and the shortest wash has been 15 minutes. It also has a cleaning setting for with recommended use of the Affresh cleaning tabs. I have not used the product and don't plan to. It's important to let the washer dry out before closing the door since it could lead to smelly mold build up. I have not have any issues with smell, mold or balancing. It is a very quiet machine. Due to the Co-Vid 19 restrictions, my husband had to install the appliances since Geek Squad was not permitted to. He was able to install them with ease. The dryer came cracked, but didn't affect the function what so ever. (I need to call and let them know) I like that the doors can be reversed according to your needs. I have the washer set to open from the right and the dryer open from the left for easy transfer of clothing. I am a mother of two children under 5. The clothes smell fresh and clean with minimal wrinkles (even on the fast spin setting.) My two kids love the digital buttons and often help with laundry. If you have back issues, I'd recommend purchasing the pedastool. I stoop low to transfer clothing from the washer to the dryer. I am 5"1 and in generally good health with occasional back problems but feel comfortable with the washer dryer set as is w/o added height.
Lastly, the delivery men were very kind and informative. The younger man stood out especially. He was kind and professional. He answered questions from my toddler who was amazed by the STRONG man and wanted to know how he got to be so strong. The young man gave a mother approved answer. "Exercise and eat your vegetables." I wish I caught this mans name. According to the Best Buy text messages, his name may have been Aureliano. There were two men, but the younger man is the one I was most pleased with.

I like the washer. I don’t like that I keep getting clumps of detergent on my clothes, shirts mainly. It’s not getting washed/rinsed out so it’s getting dried in a hard clump.

Works well and isnt loud, but if you have hairy animals it clogs easy. The warranty it comes with covered the repairman who got it working again. Very easy to work on!

This front load washer does NOT have easy access to clean out the drain pump filter when it clogs. In order to clean it, you have to pull the washer out, remove the back panel completely, and drain it from the bottom of the unit. Since this isn't covered under warranty, if you call out the service company, they will charge you. Our washer had an error code for draining after 6 months of usage from pet hair and we were not aware of the difficulty of cleaning out the filter on this model. The owner manual is no help either.

Other than it not being properly leveled at installation the washer is a dream. Big Ups to the Geek Squad for being prompt, courteous and thorough while finding the solution to my leveling issue so that I can now enjoy my appliance worry free. I am pleased with the overall performance of the machine, and am a satisfied customer.

We love this washer. The Maytag front loader is amazing. I wouldn’t trade it for any other washer in the market. I’ve tried top loaders and they simply aren’t very good. This washer here I would recommend to anybody appliance shopping.

The washer is super quiet and handles large, bulky items like bedding with ease. The only sound you really ever hear from it is the signal telling you the cycle is done.

Overall great machine. Quiet and washes well. My issue is some wash cycles are quite long. And it needs cleaning every 30 washes which is ok but it means you have to do it or reset the washer each time until you do.

I ordered this washer online while in a bind because my whirlpool front loader gave out. The space to place your fingers in on top of the door which worries me because my children are rough with things and I fear they will pull down rather than out, eventually causing damage to the door. In comparison to the whirlpool that was replaced this door is a little more flimsy. I have also found myself believing I have started the washer only to find out I later I hadn’t. This happened because you have to hold down the button below the power button for three seconds while the machine counts down, if you let go before the machine won’t go into “sensing” mode which eventually leads to the washer starting the cycle. The last thing I want to note is my washer is on a pedestal on a tile floor in my laundry room which has lead to me walking in a few times after washing heavier items such a king size comforter to find the washer has slid out of its designated space during the spin cycle.

So far so good. Had it for a month. Its pretty quiet compared to my old one. It is easy to use

If you are installing this in a closet/cubby situation - instead of traditional side by side set up - make sure you buy a 6' drainage hose to replace the one that comes with the unit. It's not that flexible and it's too short to push the machine into the space and get the drainage hose into the drain before you can no longer reach behind the machine.
The machine has worked well so far and is pretty quiet. It seems to decide on its own how long to run a cycle when it's time for rinse/spin. Mine stayed at 00:01:00 time left for several minutes while it kept tossing things about. They were still quite wet when I pulled them out so I did a solo spin cycle and that got them dry enough.

The machines themselves are fine. At least they are quiet but not so sure it gets my clothes clean.
The BIGGEST issue? Best Buy themselves! Do NOT buy this or anything else from these people! The phone number sends you to india and the chat is a bot...those are your 2 choices! You are forced to go into the store in order to talk to an American (as long as they've hired one!) and they are just as lost! This has been the worst experience! Two months later and I'm STILL arguing about the bill! I had to return the first set of washer/dryer because it was so loud. They STILL have that balance on my statement as due even though they've had the machines in their possession for 60 days! NEVER AGAIN will I spend a penny in their store...ANYWHERE!
