Purchased this early in the month. Arrived on time. We used it couple of times. It turned off on us. So we watched it do a full cycle (quick wash). Even though the washer was balanced, towards the end of the cycle, the washer would go ballistic, move and vibrate with a loud noise. The first time it did this, we cut off power. Readjusted to make sure the washer was level. Turns out during delivery it was damaged. We noticed a bulge of the metal casing in the back. Not very evident but when you compare it with a new machine, it becomes evident. Now, we have a replacement and is much quieter and does not vibrate or trip itself. The issue we had during the ordeal was dealing with 1 hr- 2.5 hr hold times with Geek squad and trying to get a replacement delivered. Full story: After we found the issue (2nd day) we called Best-buy customer service, we were transferred to Geek squad. Rude agents (first couple of times) and then finally a gentleman, who listened and explained our options. We choose to replace instead of getting a Maytag Tech out. The replacement was scheduled but we have change of appointments and had to reschedule. However, the driver called to deliver on the original day, we said that we had already rescheduled, he asked us to call deliveries, rude agent said that we were in the wrong and she did not have the rescheduling information, hung up on us (or may be call dropped). We tried calling back, 2 hours later agent and then tells us that the delivery is complete and there is nothing she can do. We start explaining what happened and that we still have the original washer. In the middle of this call drops again. (They are experiencing higher call volumes and that may be the reason). Finally it took about 4 agents to find one that understood that we were still dead in the water with a bad washer. Rescheduled a delivery and the washer was replaced. Over all experience with buying the washer is 5 star, price and quality of the product is also 5 star. Geeksquad agent who are rude and dont have the patience to listen to a customer who has been on hold for 2 hours is no excuse. Would I buy again from bestbuy: YES. but will use more caution when we have to reschedule etc, the agents need more training on how to handle calls. Thank you SS

I bought this and the accompanying dryer as a package. Nice design, decent on noise. So far I've had it for about a month and it is a significant upgrade from my last front load washer. The smell is very fresh and clean and it's a large capacity washer which is great. It's also eco-friendly which is something I was looking for. The only issue I've had so far is that sometimes it seems like a standard drain and spin cycle isn't included in the regular wash cycle so the clothes are much wetter than I'm used to and I have to run that cycle separately to get the additional water out that sometimes ends up in the bin. I intend on checking the manual to see if I can make that part automatic and reduce having to run it separately.

This replaces a 9 year old full size Bosch washer that was still working, but the cabinet was rusting. I like the choice of cycles and options on this Maytag. I always use the extra rinse (habit on my part), and the clothes come out clean. I use white vinegar in place of fabric softener and the clothes actually don't smell like pickles, so I believe the final rinse manages nicely. I have less lint in my dryer with this model as well. I've actually printed out the pages of the manual with the various cycle options and descriptions and keep it with the washer. This has been helpful in trying to select the best cycle. I have a cabinet over my washer and dryer, and I must be very careful to not lean over the washer when it's running. It's very easy to inadvertently bump the power button and turn the machine off in the middle of a cycle. Since putting a counter top over the washer and dryer, this is no longer an issue since the edge of the counter sticks out over the edge a bit and prevents one from leaning into the power button accidentally. I do wish the door wasn't tinted so that I could see inside of it. I can't help but wonder what they are trying to hide? LOL

After about 4 months of researching washer/dryer sets, we purchased the Maytag 4.5 Cu. Ft. 10 Cycle HE front loading washer and accompanying dryer. We have had the set for approximately one month. We are satisfied with the purchase. It is very quiet. It has many washing options. The longest wash has been close to 3 hours for a heavy King sized comforter or bulky towels, and the shortest wash has been 15 minutes. It also has a cleaning setting for with recommended use of the Affresh cleaning tabs. I have not used the product and don't plan to. It's important to let the washer dry out before closing the door since it could lead to smelly mold build up. I have not have any issues with smell, mold or balancing. It is a very quiet machine. Due to the Co-Vid 19 restrictions, my husband had to install the appliances since Geek Squad was not permitted to. He was able to install them with ease. The dryer came cracked, but didn't affect the function what so ever. (I need to call and let them know) I like that the doors can be reversed according to your needs. I have the washer set to open from the right and the dryer open from the left for easy transfer of clothing. I am a mother of two children under 5. The clothes smell fresh and clean with minimal wrinkles (even on the fast spin setting.) My two kids love the digital buttons and often help with laundry. If you have back issues, I'd recommend purchasing the pedastool. I stoop low to transfer clothing from the washer to the dryer. I am 5"1 and in generally good health with occasional back problems but feel comfortable with the washer dryer set as is w/o added height. Lastly, the delivery men were very kind and informative. The younger man stood out especially. He was kind and professional. He answered questions from my toddler who was amazed by the STRONG man and wanted to know how he got to be so strong. The young man gave a mother approved answer. "Exercise and eat your vegetables." I wish I caught this mans name. According to the Best Buy text messages, his name may have been Aureliano. There were two men, but the younger man is the one I was most pleased with.

Great washer for the price. Purchased this a little over 1 month ago for $700, beating other local prices by 10%. Works great, although the cycles on this model take a little longer than other brands I've owned, that has not been an issue. Really, can't beat the performance and capacity at this price for a front loading washer!

Product works like it should. We bought the set and have had it for a while now and it works great. Only issue i have is there is no easy access to clean the washer filter. You have to lift the machine. Alot of them have an access panel to the filter this washer does not. Dryer works great with no complaints.

Machine looks very sleak and washes great. It stopped a few times during rinse for an unknown reason. It is a smaller load capacity than im used to and it has lip near door where socks get stuck.

The first Maytag washing machine which Best Buy delivered had a cup of water in the tub when they left, and it never did drain properly. Two weeks later they delivered a replacement. The replacement washer seems fine. I have had Maytag washing machines for 50 years, and they seem to get progressively worse. Next time I will consider another brand. The good things: The washer is quiet, & the Lock is optional. The bad things: It doesn't spin out water as well as my last 3 Maytag washers, the end of cycle signal is so low, you can barely hear it if you're standing right in front of it. The door & rubber seal are covered with water at the end of each wash and have to be dried to keep the water from dripping in the floor. The Quick Wash cycle is only 23 minutes long-- 8 minutes shorter than my last Maytag washer. The drawer where the detergent/bleach/fabric softener goes is extra small and barely pulls out far enough to add your liquids. The Whites cycle takes well over 2 hours to wash. Those are my first impressions.

If you are installing this in a closet/cubby situation - instead of traditional side by side set up - make sure you buy a 6' drainage hose to replace the one that comes with the unit. It's not that flexible and it's too short to push the machine into the space and get the drainage hose into the drain before you can no longer reach behind the machine. The machine has worked well so far and is pretty quiet. It seems to decide on its own how long to run a cycle when it's time for rinse/spin. Mine stayed at 00:01:00 time left for several minutes while it kept tossing things about. They were still quite wet when I pulled them out so I did a solo spin cycle and that got them dry enough.

I love most everything about it. I just wish we would have been given some instructions on use. Somehow the spin button was turned off, so the clothes were always wet and I thought it was broken. Made arrangements to have it replaced, but found the spin button and it works great! Just a heads up, never had a machine that you could turn spin on and off.

This is not a large capacity washer, but for a family of 3, it does all the necessary washing we need efficiently and quietly. Without extra loads, I might add. Its a better way than the top loader we previously had, which quit after three years. I've read about Maytag's reliability and eel better about the ten year warranty on major parts to boot.

First, I was so excited to purchase a washer and dryer set in this pitch Black color! I love the front load option. I have a small laundry closet so opening up from the top would be problematic. The description said I was could wash over 15 towels at a time which is totally true. There’s a steam option, and and extra power option for deeper clean. I’m very happy with my purchase and would suggest it for other buyers.

Our Samsung front load died after 8 years of moderate use (just my wife and I), screaming a shrill protest the last six months with us whenever it went into spin mode. We were told by a couple of repair people that it might not be worth repairing. So, we decided to try the Maytag 4.5 Cu Ft 10-Cycle. The Samsung was only 3.7 Cu Ft, even though it has the same footprint as the Maytag. After a month of use we have no complaints about the Maytag, and it's nice to not have to hear the screaming from the Samsung.

Solid working machine. Easy to figure out the controls. Works much better than the previous machine we had. Height without the pedestal is perfect for the little kids to learn.

easy installation runs quietly digitally displays remaining time clothing is very clean. One thing to check is that the spin cycle is not turned off on the screen. It is a surprise to find the clothes very wet at the end when the spin cycle is accidentally turned off.

The washer runs great, is efficient, quiet. The only thing is that you have to hold the start button until it counts down to start but that helps when there are little fingers that hit the buttons often as this prevents it from starting unless it is held!

love the new matag, except it takes an exceptionally long time to wash, on any cycle. some cycles go as long as 2 hours, in my book nothing needs to wash that long.the buttons are easy to use and its a nice washer other than that

I am enjoying my new Maytag washer. Easy to use and very quiet. I have always purchased Maytag for my washer/dryer and find that they last a long time and never give any problems. Hoping this one does the same. so far so good!!
