Not fancy but a good washer

It's a good washer. Putting aside the water quality and quality of the soap, this washer is actually really good. It's not fancy with complicated controls and a bunch of unnecessary cycles.
It cleans the clothes. Just be sure to maintain it by washing it out regularly.

I love this washer. One of the only things I would have engineered to be easier is the starting system. But the machine does a wonderful job. Oh, would have liked a little buzzer or something to notify me when the job was complete.

This washing machine is a horrible buy. I thought I would treat myself to a new machine after buying used machines every 2 years. What a mistake! The machine doesn't wash well, even on maximum water level with hot water and a long wash cycle, my husband's work pants come out looking like they haven't even been in the washing machine, with bits of paper pulp still stuck to the legs. The worst thing is that at 6 months, it stopped working. The repairman replaced the main board, and then it gave another error code. That part is backordered. I have now been without a working washing machine for over one a half months. With a very large family, that means that we are doing laundry by hand because the laundromat would be very expensive. The Maytag customer service escalated my request today, but there is still no mention of when I might get a working washing machine. If you want clean clothes, or even just a machine that will last longer than 6 months, but a different brand. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again.

Works nicely. Thought I bought the model without the agitator which I would have preferred. This works well though. I would purchase this brand/model type again in future.

I've had this washer for almost a year, and I couldn't be happier with its performance thus far! No buyer's remorse here, and I would highly recommend this machine.

Great washer, great price. The sales associates were beyond helpful. Everything happened as promised. The delivery went off without a problem. They were on-time, fast, efficient, and hauled away the old washer. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

i had to return this item. It worked on the first and second Saturday after it was installed. It did not work after that. The lid has to lock before it would start, and the lid would not lock. My laundry area is in the garage, and the water did not freeze, so I assumed it was fine for this washer as it was for my previous washer. However, when I could not get the lid to lock, I tried an oscillating space heater to warm it up. My neighbor worked with it and worked with it until the lid locked and it worked. I tried it on a second load and once again got the lid not locking so I returned it. Whether it was defective from the beginning or it was too cold in the garage, I don't know.

Our managers and engineers do regularly review our files, to look for areas in which we can improve our products. We know that can be disheartening; especially when you have just purchased a new and you have high expectations for it. We’re sorry that we are not meeting/delivering these expectations.
