The lid is convex and anything you put on it (like your laundry to fold, or your groceries) slides right off. It is also the loudest washing machine I've ever heard. In all fairness, it does a great job getting clothes clean.

Everyone was so nice, and it was so easy. I told the sales lady exactly what I wanted and she showed me - I was in and out and delivery was on top and very professional. Someday hope to purchase the dryer

There is no visual or auditable indication on when the cycle is done. The cover is a little flimsy compared to a Whirlpool. No idea yet on how to clean the inside of the agitator. Had to call Maytag just to get a Cycle chart as it did not come with many instructions.

This machine is SO LOUD that I cannot run it when I have company and I have to close two doors to muffle the noise. I called within 10 days of delivery and install and when a Best Buy technician came out they said the machine functioned properly and we would have to contact Maytag. We did so and have had two other companies assess it with no help. I am a very reasonable person but the noise this puts out is crazy. My sister owns a whirlpool(same manufacturer as Maytag) and hers is quiet. This is unacceptable
