Buyer Beware - do not buy Maytag products
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BUYER BEWARE! Our Maytag washer lasted less than 4 years! When I contacted Maytag, they said they would not cover the labor for the warranty. They would also charge us $149 just to diagnose the problem. An independent repair person said it would cost over $600 to fix and to just get a new one. When I told Maytag how disappointed I was in their product, they just said "sorry we lost you as a customer." I will not ever buy another Maytag product again! Do not be fooled by their advertising that they stand behind their products, they absolutely do not!

Also getting E2,E3 & E5 codes. These are codes suggesting that the board is not working properly. Called and because it is over a year they will not do anything, not even for the rusting. this was a pretty good machine when it worked but you will be throwing your money down the toilet!

Bad washer from the first day!

The load of clothes were inside sopping wet for three days the repair person broke the lid open and said it was defective! He ordered another one but I called Best Buy and said that I wanted another brand! The nice man helped me find a GE model that was $75.00 cheaper that worked from the first day! When I called Maytag the woman told me the computers are always breaking! I will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool again!

Maytag washer

I do not like that the lid "locks" and I have to unlock it if I want to add more clothes or detergent to the load. Many times I thought I started the cycle only to find that the wash had never started. The bleach dispenser is in the front of the machine so you have to make sure to wipe out the opening so the next load of clothes doesn't get bleached when loading.

It gets your clothes wet that's about it

It also takes over 2 hours to do a load I have everything set on as much water and agitation as you can get out of this machine which isn't saying much for agitation. I am now on the market to buy an old style washer that actually works this high efficiency crap is for the birds

It worked well and lasted almost a decade. This one can’t even handle a full load. I constantly have to rebalance and often just end up taking some of the clothes out. Definitely not worth the price.
