This washing machine was nothing but problems. In the span of 3 years of owning it, it broke 3 times always the same issues. Top load door latch always broke which then caused the washer to not properly sense a load of clothes.

The installation was very professional, very good. However, the time between when I purchased the washer and the time it was scheduled to be installed was absurd. Much too long of a wait between purchase and installation.

Control Panel is SHOT after 1.5 years!

If I could give this washer ZERO stars I would! I've owned for 1.5 years and went to use it and it doesn't turn on! Just had someone come look at it for $140 to tell me that it will cost $1k to fix and the entire control panel is shot. Now just spoke to Bestbuy and they can't help, and Maytag was the one that charged $140 to look at it. I'm very upset! I also shouldve looked at all the negative reviews as well, spins like crazy before it starts and gets unbalenced all the time, despite me trying to put the clothes in evenly. I really hope BestBuy or Maytag stands behind this and replaces it. A washer should last many years, not 1.5 in a brand new home!

I’m unhappy. I will be returning. The loads do not fill with enough water and often the load becomes uneven causing the machine to basically jump and move around. I can’t leave the machine and have to watch it to make sure it is evenly distributed in the drum. Ugh. Thank God I purchased the Best Buy Extended warranty.

We regret the concerns you are having with your Maytag® Washer. If your clothes are not clean, please see the condensed troubleshooting tips below:
1. Initial Setup & Water Supply
New Installation: Run an empty "Quick Wash" cycle with HE detergent before the first load to clean the drum and prime the dispenser.
Water Temperature: Use hot or warm washes if safe for the fabrics (check care labels). Note that warm/hot water may be cooler than in previous washers.
Hose Connection: Verify the hot water inlet hose is connected to the hot supply and the cold to the cold supply. Reversed hoses can cause warm rinses. Ensure both household faucets are completely turned on.
2. Cycle and Settings
Cycle Selection: Choosing the correct cycle is crucial, as each is an optimized combination of agitation, spin speed, and water temperature tailored for fabric and soil levels.
Temperature: Select the warmest wash water safe for your fabric.
Soil Level (Wash Time): Adjust the soil level for your load (Light to Extra Heavy). Use the Extra Power button for heavily soiled items. Lighter settings help reduce tangling/wrinkling.
Spin Speed: Faster spin speeds shorten dry times but may increase wrinkling.
3. Detergent and Additives
Detergent: Use only HE or High-Efficiency detergent and always measure it based on soil level and load size. Using too much or non-HE detergent causes excessive suds, poor cleaning, and can lead to a reduced spin speed (very wet loads). Maytag recommends Swash® laundry detergent.
Fabric Softener: Measure, dilute, and add it to the rinse portion of a cycle only to avoid staining.
Liquid Chlorine Bleach: Always measure and follow directions; undiluted bleach will damage fabric.
4. Loading and Routine
Loading: Load items in loose heaps evenly around the washplate. The load must move freely for proper cleaning; you may need to reduce your load size.
Sorting: Separate darks from lights and whites to prevent dye transfer.
Clean Washer Cycle: Run this cycle approximately once per month (using affresh® Washer cleaner) to recalibrate the control, reset water levels, and remove build-up.

OMWOW! I purchased this washer completely on line without looking at it in the store and WOW. This washer is big and works great. It has all kinds of bells and whistles like remote start the laundry. The only thing that confused my husband a bit is that it starts working as it starts to fill with water, we are used to the washer being filled with water before starting to work and this fills a bit and starts working and continues to add water as the cycle progresses. I am so glad we bought this washer. It is also beautiful.

This washer was the other piece a matching set. It's packed with features and is easy to use. The extra power feature come in handy since my son play football. It's plain and simply well worth the price.

love the notifications on my phone app when my washing is complete. The only negative is that you cannot bypass to run a clean washer cycle, must be done when it tells you to.

Only have had the washer for a couple of weeks. So far we are pleased with this purchase. The only thing you have to watch out for is unbalanced loads as this washer spins fast and if it gets out of balance, watch out!
