My wife claims this is the best dryer we have ever owned. Quiet. Efficient. And drys perfectly. Controls very intuitive.

This dryer works very well. I use the 38 minute setting and everything is dry. So aside from not having to run a second load to deal with the damp socks, this machine also doesn't have an annoying buzzer at the end of cycle. Haven't tried the steam setting yet.

I read the reviews (good and bad) like I always do with every big purchase I make... and after careful consideration, I chose this one. In my space, its not loud, does not dance around the floor like a disco dancer but looks like one, with all the indicator lights and sleek design and dries my clothes like a dream! The clothes are not hot to the touch when thy come out but are def dry when drying full loads. I make that point because some complained about it taking forever to dry if there is only a couple pieces in but, if you put in only a few pieces then no...they probably wont be completely dry. It takes longer in most newer dryers to dry two things vs a full load regardless of whether the load is big or small. The trend is toward energy efficiency. So, that did not deter me from buying it nor does it bother me in the least as I am not in the habit of washing or drying in pieces...I wash loads! I have enuf in my wardrobe not to have to hunt through dirty laundry to find that "one" shirt that I just have to have right now. That's just not my life. One thing I did find hilarious is that cute little melody it plays when the load is done....I didn't tell anyone about it before I let them hear it and it was funny as heck when it went off and ppl started asking whose phone was ringing! it was a nice little bonus of not being jarred from the loud buzzer of my old one. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and since I bought it open box the price was great too! No complaints here....very happy customer! I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't come delivered with the steam feature accessory so that is a feature I cannot attest to...thought it was included...but I guess not with open box purchase... Now I will say these three things for information sake 1) yes it does slant at the top so things will fall off...for me it was not a big deal as I get tired of cleaning liquid washing soap/fabric softener off the dryer any how...saves me cleaning and wiping constantly and it makes the others put the items back in the cabinet, but if space for you is limited then this might be an issue for you and 2) the door swings alllll the way back flush with the dryer when open. Now, that might not sound like a big deal except...delivery and set up will not change the door for you if it is not on the side you need it to be for convenience to your washer (and if you have a front loading washer and are not replacing it at the same time then it could be a problem). That is a separate service call...did not know that....so, this enabled me to make the adjustment easily because I could not move my washer and would have had to either pay for another service call or send it back. Disaster averted! Just a little fyi... 3) the lint screen is on the top and yes, it is a pain in the tukus to have to wipe off the dryer every time you need to clean the lint screen...but its just a quick swipe and done! Just think, if the top wasn't slanted and liquid soap/fabric softener was sitting on top, oozing out from the cap or down the side of the container, all over the top of the warm dryer, mixing with the lint dust...how you gonna feel about cleaning that mess???? I'm just saying..... Hope this help someone....good luck in your search!

Good dryer, works well, mostly. Lots of options. I love the steam refresh option. My gripe: if you have a small load, the dryer just can't seem to ever get it dry. You can't override the settings enough to get the sensors to believe that your small load is actually not dry. Example...I do a load of whites...socks, undies, etc. not a huge volume load. Every single time, the dryer stops early without the clothes being fully dry. Restart....it stops 5 minutes later, saying, "They're dry!" No, they're not. I even tried the timed load setting that runs as long as you want. After an hour that load is still damp. Really? But I just throw in the next load of laundry to dry with my small load and everything dries completely. Still...what a pain.

Pros: Controls are easy to use and it does a good job drying large loads and towels, nice looking dryer Cons: Small loads sometimes have to go through two cycles to get dry. A little noisy when compared with our old dryer. I also wish I had purchased the a model with a pedestal since the door is quite low.

Had limited space but wanted steam. The large front-loaders were too big. This fulfilled need for steam, and has Maytag name. No high-end look, but good machine for a good value.

Gas dryer, does OK. Components feel & looks less sturdy that the cabrio it replaced. the gas drying seems to be hotter, so I keep the temp at medium or it smells like light burn. the matching washer is the less ideal product of the two. Dryer arrived with a dent, BB offered a price adjustment by gift card a MONTH ago that has still not arrived. Beware. Not thrilled about the washer at all, especially since I had to replace it after less than average use and inability for repair by Whirlpool.

Dries clothes faster than any electric dryer I've used in the past. Steam option is pretty nice to help with wrinkles. Great price and 10yr warranty.

Nice large capacity. Easy format to operate. Nice added feature is the steam option. Really glad we picked this dryer.

I've never own a gas dryer, so buying one was very skeptical initially. Once I've tried it, it was the best decision ever...it save on your electrical bill and dried your clothes extremely fast without over drying them to a crisp...the steam cycle works the best for me since I'm lazy about ironing certain clothing without burning them or stem lines...excellent product

This dryer dose large capacity and in record time.

We replaced a ten year old Whirlpool and love this Maytag. Dries very fast, lots of options that we haven't quite used yet. Steam option is nice, but a luxury we haven't used yet.

My husband and I bought this dryer not too long ago, however we are already loving it! I had no idea gas dryers would dry your clothes so fast! definitely recommend!

I like the dryer because it fits the space and has a misting option that I didn't know about at the time of purchase!

I love the fact that you can steem dry your clothes to prevent wrinkles. It's so easy to use.

Love it, but don't know how to get the steam function

my old dryer lasted 3 years and was not worth spending money to fix it, it was junk from the get go so i was worried on spending a lot of money on a new one again but i read reviews and did research... made the jump and purchased it! it dries clothes better on low heat then my other one did on high heat! i love this and you will too!

Works great. Wish door was more sturdy. Little flimsy.
