Purchased this dryer 3 days ago. I purchased it because I wanted a large capacity dryer and didn't want to spend a fortune. I don't need many bells and whistles either so this dryer met my criteria. After we got it home and unpacked, we found there were no leveling feet. After 30 min on hold to speak with someone at the local store, she said they would reimburse me and to call the appliance dept since the feet had to be ordered through them (they are not stocked). After being on hold another 25 min the not very friendly associate informed me that since BB didn't deliver the dryer they would not send the feet to me, I would have to purchase separately from Maytag and pay for them. I called the store back, after waiting yet another 30 min I spoke to a very nice manager who offered to give me a $30 credit, but of course I had to drive back to the store (25 min) to give them my credit card for them to put the credit on it. As you can see, I spent 1 1/2 hr on the phone trying to get 4 plastic feet so this new dryer was level. I ended up purchasing them myself from Amazon for $8, but it's the principle that has me wanting to give 1 star to BB. We've dried 3 loads so far; 1) a normal load consisting of perm press clothing and some socks/underwear thrown in and it dried quickly, 2) a set of king flannel sheets and it took 1.45 hr to dry, which is ridiculous considering the size of the dryer and we're only talking 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases, and 3) a normal load of mixed clothes and it took 1.20 hr to dry. To the touch this last load was dry but in folding I found everything had damp spots (plain cotton underwear had damp spots on the waist for ex) - this is frustrating but SO MANY complained of this in the reviews. I used the pre-set settings for wrinkle control/normal/ bedding. Also, like SO MANY others, the check lint screen and check vent are illuminated and there is no lint buildup (1st use) or vent connection issues (used same vent as dryer we replaced that worked). Based on the depth of the dryer, it sticks out so far from the wall. I moved my washer forward so the washer and dryer were truly side by side, but they look stupid sitting out so far from the wall (plus the dryer's control panel is not flush with it's back so it looks even weirder). Keep this in mind for your space. I have a laundry closet; I not sure yet it's going to work once we put the doors back up with opening the dryer's door and hitting the closet door. The door is extremely loud to latch and I can see it breaking quickly since it does require some force to open and close. I don't like that you can't adjust the settings after the unit has been started. You have to stop the machine and then start again as if it's a new cycle. You have to hold the start button a few minutes to get it going as apposed to just hitting the button for a sec. I read all of these exact same complaints in reviews prior to purchasing but didn't think they would bother me, I guess I'm wrong. After 3 days and 3 uses, I'm not feeling too confident I will keep this dryer.

This dryer is huge! I can dry my king size comforter and sheet set at same time with bedding setting. Everything is dry first time no need to remove rearrange and re-run a second cycle.

Dries perfectly everything you put in it and can handle any load

We bought this to replace our older dryer which was a Whirlpool and even though it's not much bigger in size the capacity of the drum is amazing. We also bought the matching washer which is a huge improvement as well. We like the fact that it isn't overloaded with useless features and that it seems to be built to a higher standard than others we looked at. Does a great job getting things dry and is programmable so it can not only stop when the clothes are at different stages of dryness but also can spin them every so often if you forget you've got a load in for a while. All in all a great product. Very happy with the purchase.

Loved this dryer since the day I laid eyes on it!!!! Me and my wife wanted a upgrade from older set for size. We wanted something that could handle bed comforters this was a great buy.

Good Dryer, my wife loves it. The machine is easy to operate.

The controls are still difficult for my elderly parents to figure out (specifically the dial) but so far it is a great dryer and going from 7.5 cu ft. to 8.8 made a big difference. It dried my down comforter in less than an hour!

Just washed my king size blanket and 2 throw blankets and still had room to spare! Quiet and does a magnificent job! Now I don’t have to go to the laundromat to wash my blankets!

Dyer is super quick in drying all load levels. Drys before the next load of wash is ready to go in. The large capacity is fabulous when drying quilts, comforters and blankets.

The massive drum is perfect for comforters, pillows and massive loads of cloths. It’s quieter than my last dryer and the “wrinkle” setting was something I didn’t know I was missing in my life!

We just bought a new house so new buying new appliances just felt right. This dryer is very large. You can fit a lot of clothes in this thing. It has several different modes depending on what sort of clothes you want to dry. My favorite feature is that it has a moisture sensor that monitors the dryness level of the clothes and updates the finish time for the load. That means it won't just run continuously until a timer goes shuts it off. It runs until the clothes are dry, and then turns off. That's gonna save me lots of money on the electric bill for sure. VERY cool control panel. I feel like I have a futuristic machine to dry my clothes! I'm very happy with it. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Also made in the USA!

I love the large capacity. So far so good. Nice on extra room so my clothes get dry quickly and wrinkle free. XL comforters do well in this dryer without having them ball up during the cycle. Nice.

Other machines had really fancy electronics and options for steaming clothes. This machine is a reliable Maytag that gets the job done. Not as many settings as other machines but more than enough. Dryer is reliable and the big drum keeps clothes from being overloaded and wrinkled. I chose this b/c the price was reasonable and I didn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars more for some other options, i.e. steam drying. Other dryers had many other bells and whistles. I wanted a big dryer so I didn't have to pack my clothes in a small space. I am happy I chose this dryer.

We love our new dryer with it's much larger capacity. It's taken me awhile to figure out all of the settings, but it does an excellent job and is nice and quiet.

I chose these washer and dryers for their large capacity. I am amazed at how much they hold. I am thrilled to be able to wash and dry our bedspreads. They are also energy efficient and saves on water.

Glad we bought this. The dryer is much bigger than my last as in capacity. Still fits in our laundry closet. Only have to try our major loads once. Savings on the power bill.
