Nice and quite operation aswell as doing a good job at cleaning my clothes

This machine cleaned the clothes just fine but it is very LOUD and made an obnixous noise during the agitation cycle. If you're getting this for a basement it's probably fine. My laundry room is just off my main living area so I returned it!

i purchased a maytag on 5/12 and chose nothing but a maytag since my mom had a maytag that lasted 20 years! (she replaced it because she wanted a new one and not because it broke down) i bought it for $539 and it was not worth one cent. i washed my husbands hiking cargo shorts that had mud splatters on it, and it came out with the mud splatters still on there, only slightly lighter. food stains definitely dont come out, even with pre-treat (my moms old washer did) dropped some toothpaste on the bed while brushing my teeth (yes i brush my teeth on my bed) and it didnt remove the stain. it doesnt remove anything... so it makes me think that its not cleaning at all! all my dogs blankets, bed cover, towel and leash all came out smelling exactly the same except with a cover up smell of detergent i purchased HE detergent, tried less detergent, tried more, tried regular detergent, and exchanged it just in case i got a fluke. nope the washer just doesnt work. and I DONT HAVE ANY KIDS, i cant imagine those that have some not worth it. very disappointed. going to return it today

As I type this review, I am waiting for the third repair on this Maytag Bravo MVWX500XW. First repair was 2 months after purchase - wouldn't spin and drain, debris in pump; second repair was 4 months after purchase - constant rubbing noise, replaced inner drum; third issue not spinning or draining again, guess they will need to clear debris out of the pump again. I got a LEMON or this model is not worth your time or money. I will have to take off work, AGAIN, to wait for a repairman since they wouldn't schedule service on a Saturday. Maytag's motto is "Count on America's #1 Preferred Laundry Brand to handle load after load, week after week." Sure, if you buy the extended warranty and plan on paying for repairs on a regular basis. Not happy in Saint Louis.

Washer looks great, efficent cleans colors great but it falls way short cleaning dark clothes. Every black shirt has white stains on it at the end of the cycle. Darks have to be washed twice to get them clean. Wishing I had bought a regular agitator machine that is dependable. Very disppointed in what has been a great brand, Maytag should be better than this.
