A classic anime on great come back i remember looking at this anime back in 1987 !!

I'll be lying to just recommend watching this on the fly. Not that a casual fan won't appreciate this modern gem You need to have been exposed to the Mazin Saga to get a better grasp of all that's going on in the movie, especially the latter half. Spoilers: Like a bad rash, it really is hard to get rid of Dr. Hel. Toei did a topnotch job on this production of theirs. Characters and robots are rendered immaculately awesome! You can still see the Go Nagai influences but it stillstands out on its own. Sayaka, Jun, Koji etc all have that mature look of war vets and yet for us who grew up with the show, are still the same buddies we have all grown to love(I didn't forget you Tetsuya). The action? 'nuff said! JUst watch it and you'll know what I mean!

Another anime that honors the original with modern animation and story telling.

50 years in the making and so worth it! Go get it if you're a fan of Go Nagai.

This was my first time watching any off these Mazinger Z anime movies. I know this is a sequel to a series so I wasn’t familiar with these characters or what came before. I picked this up for $10 (great price). I loved the shogun warrior toys as a kid and Mazinger was my favorite so why not try the show. The animation was really nice. Lots of action and some humor. Blu-ray picture always makes these animated shows look fantastic. This movie has me looking to purchase the two series that I have seen online. Enjoyed this a bunch even though I was unfamiliar with what came before.

Been Mazinger fan since a kid. This movie has great animation and enjoyable enough.

This is a great anime, but if you want to know what is going on, you have to watch previous series.

this is fan tribute to the mazinger movie series and reflects on kabuto's current life whereabouts. the animation is superb and let's rockets firing and breast fire! i wish they showcased more battles with older robots but you seem them sporadically in the movie. well worth it to watch. because this movie is so low cost, i'd recommend buying it over renting it.

The animation style i loved cause it reminded me of the 80's the action was great. The overall story was Ok and it could have used more action.
