Purchased this online as this product is not offered in most stores. Since I only needed basic security (not as much features as Norton 360 or Kaspersky), this was perfect for me. It does run a basic and complete scan of your system, and does alert you when you're computer may be at risk.

I don't like having to update every time I log onto my laptop. Annoying scan permissions and it never seems to complete the scan. I always get a message that the scan was not completed and asks to resume.

McAfee used to be good about 10 years ago. Its very slow, has very low detection rates, and its one of the hardest products to remove from a computer.
