Saw this years ago and knew Scorsese was one to watch. He delivers a gritty style that is hard to refuse. Actors Keitel and DeNiro shine in early roles. Not as good as Taxi Driver but definitely one to pay attention to for what can be done in an independent film.

The young Robert De Niro is traffic as Johnny Boy, a small time gambler in debt to loan sharks. This was based on Martin Scorsese semiautobiographical life through his eyes while growing up in New York's little Italy. Just a classic Movie.

This is the movie that put Martin Scorsese on the map. You can see the beginnings of what would lead to future masterpieces like 'Goodfellas' in this movie. If you enjoy Scorsese, then you should watch this.

This film is amazing. It is the first collaboration between Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese. It's a fantastic film however it is dated.

The humble beginnings of Robert D. story line was good but film could have had more substance to it. Still a classic though!

Fantastic modern American classic for a great price! This edition/case is your standard blu-ray case, but still an amazing film! (If you're into gritty dramas)

Scorcese, DeNiro, and Keitel's early classic. Mean Streets isn't as well known as later films, but it is a powerful film, a testament to the talent involved.

This is a classic film and a must see. It's the heyday of Martin Scorsese and foreshadows what he had coming to us. A masterpiece if cinema.

You can't go wrong with the cast and the director.

Not my favorite Scorsese movie. It has some interesting elements, but the actual through-line of the movie is a bit muddled. I can see its influence on modern cinema, and I can appreciate that, but it's not my favorite. Some terrific performances, though.
