Works great. Xbox headset broke in half on me. Found my old pair of Bose AE2 headphones. Now I have a great audio setup when dominating call of duty zombies. Microphone comms comes in clear.

I needed a mic for my xm5’s and these are worth it. On calls, I am easily understanded by people. I love that you adjust the volume of your headset and mute the mic if needed. I would recommend it.

The microphone works great when paired witb a good headset. Just make sure its 3.5 mm because some of my headsets use 2.5 mm. Overall for the prixe the mic quality is great

I got this mic as a replacement for my v-moda boompro microphone, because i wanted something similar but won't give static when muted like the vmoda used to do. It works great! no static, less cable noise than vmoda, and the sound quality is great.

Fantastic sound quality from the mic, greatly improved over the built-in mics on both my Sennheiser and Plantronics over the ear conference headsets costing over $350 The built in mute switch and volume adjustment are convenient and provide peace of mind that you won’t accidentally unmute yourself.

Affordable Way to Turn Headphones into Headset!

I spend a significant amount of my day talking on the phone and voice chat. I recently bought a pair of Sony XM4 noise cancelling headphones and I was disappointed to discover that the microphone did not work well with applications such as Discord or Teams. This microphone attachment now makes my headphones a usable for voice chat and phone calls! The test recordings I've made sound very clear when played back and I have not received many complaints about sound quality as of yet. As a bonus, it works on both my phone and my laptop. The only thing I dislike is the cord seems to be a bit longer than it needs to be. There's also nothing to stop the microphone from swiveling but it seems to stay in place when it needs to

This microphone opens up the capabilities of my over-the ear headphones that accept a microphone jack. The voice quality is clear, and the volume adjustments are precise. Well worth the price.

Does it's job but be wary about some devices switching between microphone and audio output. But it's a decent mic, and works as intended. Can sound a bit hollow with standard recording apps on a phone or PC but hopefully you know how to use an audio equalizer if you want more out of this mic.

If you have any good headphones, this is a good attachment compare to other online. Paired this with a Philips SHP9500. Mic quality is better than those headsets build in mics for sure.

Bought these in hopes of adding a Boom mic to my Bose QC25 headphones. The length of the plug and the thickness of the body behind the plug prevents it from being plugged into the headphones :(

I really wanted to like this boom mic. I have an older set of Bose on-ear, wired headphones (no mic) that I wanted to get more life out of by adding an inline microphone. I liked the idea of this boom mic, however it fails at every single turn. I tried this using 3 different headphones including the Bose OE's mentioned, Bose SoundSport (just for testing sound quality), and my Sennheiser M2s. I also tried this on 4 different devices: my computer, an iPhone, an Amazon 7" Fire Tablet, and an old Lumia 635 Windows Phone . All failed! As far as sound goes, there is a buzzing regardless if it's CTIA (Apple) or OMTP pinouts on the headset jack (it's Apple and Android/computer respectively) - search those terms for more info). Plus the there's no way to increase the gain; the sound level is way too low. The physical connector can never be tight enough to not allow the mic to "spin" meaning you physically have to hold the boom to keep it near your mouth. Plus, the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter they provide doesn't fit my Sennheiser headphones at all - I had my own adapter and used that, but the buzzing and spinning continued, so I was able to rule out the adapter and narrow it down to the microphone itself. In the end - avoid this and get a lapel mic and a splitter instead.

Great way to use your audiophile headphones

This is a great way to turn your audiophile headphone into a great gaming headset. It even includes an adaptor to cover two types of headphone connections. Of course, check your headphone because there are ones with some fairly esoteric connectors but it should work with most of the more mainstream headphones like Senns and a popular choice, the Philips SHP9500.

This seems to be about the only company that offers a product like this. If you have a nice set of headphones that you’d like to use for Teams, Zoom, or whatever, you want this! I have a nice pair of Sony noise-canceling headphones. While it has Bluetooth, this doesn’t provide very good microphone audio quality. With this cable I just plug into the computer’s audio input jacks (which supports the single TRRS connector) and I’m good to go. Only complaint is that I bought and used a cable for about six months before the microphone started cutting out. Probably a break in the wiring somewhere. This time around I bought two and I’ll take advantage of the 1-year manufacturer warranty.

So awesome to make a gaming headphone out of any of your current headphones. I use my Sony XM-3s with this and it's the best gaming headset I've ever used.
