I'm a huuuuge fan of Mega Man so I was stoked when I heard about this new entry. Gameplay is classic Mega Man and the new additions (double gear) come across well and don't feel gimmicky. The game is HARD too... although there are 'easy' modes available for newcomers to the series as well. The only thing I was a little disappointed with is the music.... it's not bad, but overall the songs just aren't as catchy and melodic as a lot of the previous Mega Man games were. I do really like the alternate soundtrack that was available via preorder though.

I've never been a super fan of this series. I admit it has its moments but overall it is not my cup of tea. But since I bought the previous Mega Man and X collections I figured might as well continue buying the sequels. The best addition to the gameplay is the gear system. You can slow down time or super power your shots/special weapons or activate both and get a powered up and wreck havoc. Although some of the level are too short or devious the game doesn't overstay its welcome and it ends up being lean, to the point and addictive. Something the other Mega Mans didn't felt like. It's fun, it's hard, it's rewarding. Get it.

Mega Man returns in proper form

Finally we get a modern Mega Man game with a decent graphical treatment. However, Mega Man 11 plays it a bit too safe. Most of the tropes of old make it back here, but not much else. After the initial 8 bosses, the Doctor Wily stage isn't particularly long (just 2 stages with a boss rush and then Wily himself with 2 forms). The new Double Gear system is a winner and does add some newness to the formula–as you can essentially speed up or add a power boost at will–but there's no real secrets to speak of, and Rush seems to take a backseat this time around with nothing new added to his abilities (all you get here is the stock Rush Spring and Rush Jet). After the main game is over, there are a series of challenges you can complete to add some replay value, though only the most hardcore of Mega Man fans will likely have the patience to tackle these with gusto. Despite this, if Mega Man 11 is any indication of things to come, the future is looking bright for the blue bomber!

Mega Man 11 is what Mega Man 9 & 10 Should have been, a progression of the series adding new ideas to the core game play as opposed to stripping everything to the bare basics. The game is easy to newcomers with different difficulty levels, items that can purchased with in game currency (no need to spend real world money to get an edge) that help, different types of weapons that are useful outside of boss battles and the double gear system (the new game play feature). Summary: A must buy.

It's nice to see Megs get a new game. It's a good game, but not better than 2, 3, and quite possibly not better than 9, and 10. That's not a knock on the 11, it's good but I think the stages could be a tad bit shorter and the music is just ok, and not "Rockman Good".

Pros: - Mega Man is back in action with new graphics and a modern twist - Not full game price - I love the new art direction of the series - I really enjoyed the English voice acting (which I understand some might not agree) - The game is very fun and the new mechanics is awesome (It does not alienate long time fans at all) Cons: - Would have wanted that the Ps4 version came with a special edition - At least a manual/booklet - Soundtrack is good but not the best in the series - Would have wanted Capcom to explore more with the story (It's not a big issue though since Classic MM games always had simple plots)

Mega Man is finally starting to see a little bit of a revival thanks to all of his legacy collections and finally a new entry in the core franchise. This is definitely a Mega Man game. It takes the tried and true formula of selectable boss areas and tough platforming and gives it a fresh coat of HD paint. An array of difficulty levels and an item shop (using only in game currency called bolts) help folks avoid frustration depending on their level of expertise.

Those of us that grew up in the 90’s remember the side strolling, two dimensional fun of the Mega Man series. I purchased this game because I wanted to remember that feeling. The updated graphics are great, but limited because the game needs to have that retro feel. The levels are as challenging as I remembered and there are 4 options of gameplay difficulty available. I think it is a great game for all ages.

Capcom has actually gone, and done it. They created good modern Mega Man after all these years. You can feel the inspiration from the original series in the level design, character design, and activities. The boss fights all feel retro and modern at the same time. Just a wonderful game. While it borrows a lot from it's legacy, there are tons of quality of life additions to make the game accessible to everyone. It can be an easy romp, or challenging buster only run if you choose. There should be a sweet spot of challenge and fun you can make your own.

Very hard game but a ton of fun. The new systems in place are easy to pick up not a worthwhile challenge to master. If you like old school Mega Man, you should really enjoy this.

It's been a long time since a proper release in the main Mega Man series, and it's everything I was hoping it would be. It's an extremely "safe" entry in that there isn't much that's mechanically different other than their new gear system, so if you played the two legacy collections, you'll know what you're in for. But it's absolutely worth your time, especially if you're a fan. It's a great entry point for newcomers too, since the easier difficulty options make it so that anyone should be able to see the end.

If you are looking at this game then chanced are that you grew up playing this one. My review might be somewhat long but the short side is, yes, I definitely recommend. Just when I thought the Mega Man 2D days were long gone they came up with this one and am happy to say I was wrong. The game made me feel like I was playing Mega Man X for the first time just in a sequel. I can go at great lenght talking about why it is a great game but in short I hghly recommend it.

Capcom sure has outdone itself the last few years with their releases. I grew up playing Mega Man 1-6 on Nes and even 7 for SNES and 8 for PS1. 9 and 10 would good games too but I didn't feel like the first 6 that they were trying to achieve with the throw back 8 but graphics. 11 moves the series forward and feels like a true new release in the series. I hope Capcom keeps the Blue Bomber alive with new releases in this series and the X series.

I've been playing Megaman ever since it first came out in 87 and the blue bomber and I went on countless Adventures stopping the evil doctor Wily. This game is everything and then some. Like all Megaman games when added a new move it takes getting used to but once you get it down it is lovely. It's a challenge and we'll have you cursing out your TV in multiple languages but that just comes with Megaman. I advise all my veterans to play on super hero mode and test your will.

Not the typical game for someone under 13. Very challenging even for the most advance gamers. Controls are self explanatory, game play is easy to learn. With only one life per round, it makes it fun.
