Glad to see this compilation all on one cart vs a digital download code for half the games content. Capcom finally came through correctly for this release.

The mega man zero games are the best in the mega man series. If you loved the X series, you'll love this too as it takes it to a new level. It has similar movesets but added 'cyber elves', which are collectables gained from defeating enemies, that will add new abilities and upgrade stats. This game is not a walk in the park either, definitely for those who want a challenge and want to play a more old school style of game where you are memorizing boss patterns etc....The value is here too, $30 gets you all 6 games in the series from both the GBA and the DS. Must buy for any fan of the mega man series, or fans of old school style challenges

An excellent collection of some of the best games in Mega Man history. Pros: + Save assist and Casual Scenario for a more relaxed playthrough + Remastered audio and full-resolution anime cutscenes + Bonus content like the e-reader cards and the Z3 and Z4 boss fights in ZX are accessible. + Massive gallery of Zero and ZX art + Z-Chaser mode for some extra replayability + English and Japanese versions Cons: - Typos and minor censorships are still present. Ergo, changing “die” to “retire” - Despite having a touchscreen, it’s not possible to touch the “bottom” screen for actions such as A-Trans in ZX Advent. The stick works, but isn’t ideal. - Filters leave a bit to be desired. I personally like the smooth one, but I would’ve liked to have more options, such as a different type of smoothing technique or a CRT filter. Ultimately, very much worth the $30. Capcom has done a lot right here and the cons are essentially nitpicks. Highly recommend for fans of Megaman and action platformers in general.

This collection is excellent. All four games work beautifully, without much in the way of emulation artifacts or input lag. Playing these games on a TV like this is surreal. Of course, you could play the GBA games on the Gamecube's Gameboy Player in the past, but it was nothing like this. No input lag, crisp visuals. No weird, interlaced picture; its an LCD game on a modern LCD. And casually transitioning between docked and handheld modes is just fantastic for this type of game. The Zero games are still as hard as ever, but the save-assist feature makes them much more approachable than they were previously. Newcomers can focus on improving while getting through the games at a reasonable pace, and more experienced players can use them to practice problem areas over and over for real runs.

Yeah you read the title right, all of the games are on the cart, that's impressive for Capcom considering the original and X series games required to download the other half of the collection. Which, is annoying since one reason you're probably buying physical is to not eat up all the space on the microSD card. This is a really solid collection, 4GBA games, 2 DS games and a ton of art, music and so on. This is honestly the definitive way to play this series, this extends to the other console releases, let me explain why. the GBA games are accurately depicted and are very fun titles- but the Zero games are very, very hard. The collection adds in 2 OPTIONAL modes, a checkpoint mode which allows you to start from a tagged check point like most other platfromers and casual mode. I can't comment on casual but checkpoint mode is VERY helpful. You spawn at the last checkpoint and have full HP and you don't lose a life. Say what you will about making the game easier, I don't find Zero 1's live system very fair otherwise. If you don't want to use these systems, you can entirely turn them off. I played the Megaman X games a lot and found them fun (well, 1,2,4, at least), these games do seem to ramp the difficulty up a bunch. ZX series is where the collection really shines in terms of being improved via this collection. The second screen is represented through a few different display options and is operate-able via the right analog stick. This lets you select moves on the fly or customize some skills. What makes the ZX games BEST here is, they used the original high res videos from back then as well as better voice samples. So the presentation is vastly improved vs the original DS which only sported a 192p screen. The ZX games also come with the checkpoint & casual mode. The controls are fully customizable in the options screen, but you have to do it in each, game. So hit start, then R then select what you want the controls to be. The GBA games are hard, but with the checkpoint system they're far less nasty and I think most can handle it now. They're great games that should be given a look, it was really apparent that the dev team enjoyed what they were making here and they made the game really stand out with nice visuals & utilizing the full effects of the GBA and later the DS. The only thing I can really complain about is, I wish they re-worked the games, like SEGA did with Sonic CD adding in wide screen. Because of the game's original hardware's low res, there's a bit of screen crunch that can make for some cheap deaths if you're not cautious.

I played the original Zero games on the GBA and remember them being pretty brutal. The games were tough. This remastered port brings some quality of life changes that are helpful to newcomers to the series. It is more generous with saves and has a casual mode if you are new or want to start slow. If that's not your bag, the original modes are here too. I never got to play the ZX games on the ds so I look forward to playing though those as well. Overall the collection is a steal for the amount of games you get.

Unlike some collections that have just a couple of games from a series at a ridiculous price (Looking at you Collection of Mana), we get six games total at a great price: The four Zero games for the GBA, and both ZX games for the DS. They are a tad difficult, especially the Zero games, but if you enjoy the original Mega Man and X series, this will be a great addition to your collection.

Mega Man Zero/ZX collection is my favorite one out of the others that were released. The ports for this collection play perfect from the past originals. The difficulty is a little challenging, but with the added save feature will help with completion of the stages. I definitely recommend this collection for the value and game play of some Mega Man classics.

Six Mega Man games for $30 is a great deal. Capcom put a lot more work into this collection as compared to their others, and it shows. The games are known for their difficulty, but a couple new features make it much easier for a newcomer to jump in and play. Highly recommend if you're a Mega Man fan.

Unlike the other Mega Man Legacy Collections for Switch, the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection for Nintendo Switch is entirely on the cart (no additional downloads needed!). The collection conveniently includes the GBA Mega Man Zero series and the DS Mega Man ZX series all in one place. Needless to say, this is especially great for collectors or preservationists. If you're playing the Mega Man Zero/ZX series for the first time, this collection also provides a lot of value. These are 6 solid platformers that will provide plenty of playtime. One thing to note is that these are all games made for the GBA and DS, so the in-game text will seem especially large if you're playing this docked. However, in handheld mode, the size difference isn't as jarring.

This collection is really well done with plenty of great games from the Mega Man franchise. These are games are quite difficult, but there are options for checkpoint save system and a casual mode to make it easier (a bit too easy) for those that would like to fly through the games!

I enjoyed the zero/zx series as a kid and to see them release 6 games at such a low nice price was a yes for me! If you enjoy games like magaman and megaman x, I recommend also trying these games as well! It is such a good value for all these games and brings me back to childhood.
