There are many military movies out there but this is the first I've seen focused around a dog. It honors the veterans and fallen soldiers and realistically depicts the dangers they face in war zones.

This is a great movie. When it was recommended I watched it and cried I had to buy this movie. It’s a sad truth but great movie.

This was a great movie that got really good reviews but never really gained traction at the box office. Definitely worth a watch.

I'm a huge supporter of our US Military soldiers, as well as military war dogs! I believe ALL war dogs should return home, and they should be given a hero's life. "Megan Leavey" is a true story. She was a real soldier, and so was her war dog. She fought for her dog to return home with her, and she wouldn't give up! I would recommend this movie, because it exhibits the true dedication of a soldier to save her dog from euthanization and the lengths she would go, to save her dog... Just as her war dog saved her, and the lives of our soldiers....

Based on a true story, I first read about the story in the news some time back. It is not just humans but some animals that have difficulty adjusting to life and from time to time the two find their counterpart and form a bond that time, distance and circumstances are obstacles to overcome to continue that bond. This is the story of one such friendship that is shy of extraordinary. I personally enjoyed this immensely and highly recommend it.

Outstanding movie from start to finish. It shows us just how special a bond between an animal and a human can become. It showed how animals help people heal who are broken .This movie teaches us how some animals will give their lives for their handler and it let us see the intelligence and drive the working dog has. The courage and bravery that was portrayed in the movie was moving . It's no wonder a dog is called mans best friend.

Megan Leavey tells an honest, touching true story of love, friendship, and fighting the good fight on the battlefield and off of it. It's also a story of personal transformation, growth in courage, and finding a place in the world. It's well acted and nicely assembled, one of the more agreeable and heartfelt films of the year. Universal's Blu-ray offers good video and audio but only one brief supplement. Recommended.

I think that "Megan Leavey" was one of the greatest new biographical films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite new biographical films of all-time. I also think that "Megan Leavey" was an original and inspiring film with an amazing and exciting personal storyline including a lot of entertaining, enjoyable and exciting drama and action.

This was an excellent movie about the mutual love and bond between a dog and its human. Based on a true story, it really opened my eyes to the danger and sacrifices that the men, women, and canines of our military actually go through. Truly inspiring!

Many war movies either too glorify war or too blatantly vilify our soldiers. This movie takes a realistic middle-of-the-road path that honors our soldiers' sacrifices without shying away from addressing the physical and mental scars that war inflict on our young adults. Not as good as American Sniper, but if you liked that one, you will like this one as well. Kate Mara has yet to disappoint in any of her roles.

A dog lovers movie. The fact it's a true story of heroism, woman marine and a great K-9 German Shepherd Dog. They both need each other and save countless troops then each other. This is a must see movie especially in these times.

I have a service dog who is also a german shepherd. He served in the united states army. He also was a bomb sniffing dog. This movie made me cry and appreciate my dog more than ever. Everyone should buy this movie.

My wife and I were not able to see this movie in our local movie theater and am happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and am looking forward to watching it as often as we want.
