Great CD for someone who appreciates Lorde's music. Strong effort that really highlights the vocal abilities of Lorde. Check out the preview clips and add this to your musical library.

I have spoken to many of my friends about this CD and while we all don't agree I think Lorde has outdone herself on this CD. She has blossomed into a young woman who knows who she is and is not afraid to say it. It is common in pop music for an artist who had a giant hit such as royals to try and imitate it and create something similar. I love how Lorde went the polar opposite direction and created a CD in which everyday I find myself singing a new song off the CD. In my opinion that's the measure of a great CD, the songs that weren't necessarily your absolute favorite on your first listen develop into things you can't live without.

I got this the day it came out after hearing five songs early. It really is a great album. There's not a single song I dislike. The only way it could be better is if it was longer! It's still my current playlist, and this month was great for women releasing albums. A great breakup album, even for people in relationships.

Every song on this album bleeds into the next thematically as though we're journeying through her fanatic crushing to heartfelt heartbreak alongside her. Lorde proves she's not a one hit wonder with "Royals" [her first album being sporadic but good all around.] Wonderful and can't wait to hear more.

Great follow-up to her debut--no sophomore slump for her! Good, catchy songs, all really solid. My only gripe (and this is a matter pr personal taste) is her moving away from the sparse, bass-heavy sound of her debut. I really loved the sound of that album. But this one is definitely no slouch!

This is my second album that I bought by Lorde. The songs are moody like her last album and makes you just want to sit back and chill out. There are a few songs with an upbeat funky sound beat. I really enjoy this album and believe you will too.

Good follow-up to her first album, though not filled with as many tracks worthy of a heavy rotation, in my opinion. Also, tough to get a copy with a CD case free of soft corners or creases!

Lorde's second album is an easy contender for album of the summer. There's an energy throughout that I missed at times on the first album. It seems as though someone has become a bit more confident this time around. Give it a listen.

The follow up to her debut album is absolutely amazing. I listened to it while driving cross-country this summer and it was awesome. Smart, melodic, thought-provoking. I see this as a great GRAMMY contender.

Green Light feels like top 40 illuminati but the rest seems to genuinely be her trying something new with a generAL dealing-with-heartbreak theme throughout. Nowhere near as solid as her debut but still enjoyable.

Each and every track is brilliant on this album. It's fun yet has its moments of melancholy. The production is awesome. My favorite tracks are Supercut, Sober, Perfect Places, and The Louvre.

The songwriting was well done and the performance sincere but the target audience still seems to be high schoolers to me. I was hoping for more world view and less relationship view.

Review Of: Lorde - Melodrama (CD) (2017).

Review Of: Lorde - Melodrama (CD) (2017). SKU: 582160 Release Date: June/16/2017 = PROS = - Total # of tracks: 11. - Adequate H.S tunes. - Original lyrical composition. - Beautiful shifting beats/tones. - No obvious use of auto-tune. = CONS = - Lorde's 2nd album (Melodram) is not as good as her first album (Pure Heroine), but it is pretty close to it. The Melodrama album is more serious in tone, and the majority of the tracks are slow paced rather than up-beat, comparatively album-to-album.
