I enjoyed this wonderfully filmed movie. I'm not huge into Geisha but this was very enjoyable.

As above interesting insight into Japanese and geisha culture but considered it an average movie and not particularly spellbinding considering all the raves it received.

This is easily one of the greatest movies of all time. It’s extremely gorgeous in terms of the settings, it feels like it takes you back in time. Movie is also heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

Read the book (twice actually) and was impressed with the rich wonderful descriptions of the environment and characters. An introduction to the pre-WWII Japanese culture. I also have to comment that I thought the movie was faithful to the book. I specially enjoyed Ziyi Zhang's performance as Sayuri.

This is one of my favorite movies ever! I love the acting, the story, the cinematography absolutely everything! I can watch it over and over :)

Highly recommended. Whether or not you have read the book (and I highly recommend that you do), this movie is excellent.

Overall I think this was a great movie. I would recommend it to all of my friends.

The book that this movie is based on is excellent, and the film does an excellent job of capturing the spirit of the book. If you have any interest in the culture of the geisha, you will really enjoy this movie.
