great cd; when u finish with tracks you'll be sad that's it's over. she'll leave u wanting for more. i do think the singles that she has out now, could be replaced with some even hotter songs on her record. I love obsessed, but i think a better first single would have been ribbon. and i wanna know what love is although i like that song, she has even hotter slower ballad songs that would have been much better than that. absolutely love the album, i picked this cd up tuesday morning. it was great. i was so glad i had about a 15 minute drive home cuz i played cd the entire ride. this is 5/5 stars. if u liked e=mc^2. you'll really like this one. this one is 100% better than that one and i liked e=mc^2. and that speaks volumes. she brings a little bit of her old school style in there. so if you liked her vision of love days, there are songs reminenscent of that. if u like her e=mc^2 days you'll love it. to me this is the ultimate sound for the old and new. loyal mariah carey fan!!! this should be top of the charts. very few artists these days can have an entire cd that is good from beginning to end. usually you hate everything except the first two or three songs. but this time, she came back to prove she's still got it. buy it, you wont be disappointed.

I really love the album. I love that her sound and vibe is different and I was surprised and impressed. that there was not even a duet or feaut. any rappers which was nice. I love the track standing o. wow. I give the album 5 stars! angels cry is a great track, makes me wanna cry. I love everything that she releases really but this album is great! When I came on tue sep. 29 the day it was released, I came around 11 in the morn and there was only two albums of hers, wow. i was surprised and so happy best buy was selling it for only $10!! wow! I should have gotten more than one copy!! give the record 2 or more spins and you really love it!

This is an amazing cd I was skeptical at first wondering if she can pull off another hit album and she has proved again that she is still on top. I loved all of the songs on the album. My favorite track is The Impossible it reminds me of Jodeci/RKelly esque period in the early 90's which I love. I also love the collaborations with The Dream. HATEU, Candy Bling, and Ribbon are hot tracks as well. Please dont pass this by especially if you are a fan, and also I feel bestbuy has this wonderfully priced at 9.99 this week.

This is the most anticipated album of the year so its a must have. Fresh new voice of mariah. This album has songs for the fans who love "old school" mariah with her big ballads and the ones who love "mimi" mariah. Some of the titles for this album are...obsessed (which is out already as the first single and its hottt), h.a.t.e.u, ribbon, candy bling, and the impossible...

Memoirs is a sonically-cohesive album that might wear on some listeners for being quite same-y. The songs are all good, but none are extremely outstanding. The lead single "Obsessed" is a harder, more hip-hop/R&B sound than what we're used to hearing from Mariah, and mostly it works, but the subject matter and lyrical content might be off-putting. The album is a tad bloated and the final four songs are treacly and don't quite fit with the rest of the album tracks. This is not a Mariah album that will appeal to everyone, but it's much like her previous album Charmbracelet. You either really like it for its intimacy and what it's trying to do, or you hate it for the lack of strong hits and a more pop/multi-genre sound.

I made sure that when September 29, 2009 came around, that I would get this album. I was pretty hooked when "Obsessed" was on the radio and was eagerly anticipating when this CD would come out. As a true Mariah fan, I do love this album. However, I think that some of the songs don't sound like they would even come from someone like her. Don't get me wrong, I like them all. Songs like "Betcha Gon Know", "Standing O" and "It's A Wrap" don't sound like "her songs". For instance, I can compare "Candy Bling" to a song like "Always Be My Baby" or "Angels Cry" to "We Belong Together". Again, I love this album, but don't necessarily agree with who she worked with (The Dream) or some of the songs that were chosen for the album.

I pre-ordered this album on best buy online, and it came in a day early to it's release date, I'm so happy I did order it. When it came in, I put it in my c.d player and started listening to it and I feel in love with it fast. Evey song on this album tells it's own story. To me, this album is on of her best !!! Best buy has it for a great price.

Another knockout album from the great MC. As great as I thought the last one one, this one blows E+MC2 out of the water. Some standouts are Ribbon, H.A.T.E.U., Standing O, and Inseparable. If you are a fan of Mariahs, or are in the mood for a great R&B/pop album definitely pick this one up!

This new album from Mariah is flawless. Her whipsers in this album are beautiful and amazing. The beats are sick. There are some amazing ballads and some great up beat songs. The album feels complete. Love this album

I bought this CD the day it came out, and I gotta say that this is her best album ever! Mariah has always been a great artist, but "Angel" truly lets her fly free! No lamb (Mariah fan) will be disappointed. 10/10 stars! :D

Her career speaks for itself. She sings, she writes, she produces. This album continues an already outstanding legacy. Look out Beatles....we're gaiining on you!

Awesome CD by the greatest artist of all-time! MC!

I bought this cd because of the cutomer reviews on this website, however, I was not very pleased with this cd. In fact, I only liked 2 songs on it. I really liked Mariah's last cd, and several ones before that, but not this one so much. I would def. listen to it on iTunes or something before purchasing it.
