Great sound, clear reception and lightweight. We use it pool-side daily. Love the option to charge devices via USB (charges cell phone) just what we were looking for - not crazy about the orange color (the similar blue one is not splash proof) but otherwise great little item!!

Use it in the backyard and to take to the beach. Good volume output. It's smaller than you think it would be for the sound. Like the built in lithium battery.

The unit has more bass than some bigger boom boxes I have owned in the past. The blue tooth feature works well with my Samsung tablet.

I was skeptical at first because Memorex was always a CD-R company to me and never thought about their other products. I usually stick to well known brands like Sony or the like for products like this. I was able to "demo" this unit in a store and was blown away at the sound quality as well as the volume level. It has a "powerful" sound if that makes sense. I feel like this unit punches above its weight class without getting too distorted.
This unit features an FM tuner (no AM unfortunately) which reproduces voices VERY well. Listening to ball games or talk format is great. It seems to do well with multiple genres of music as well, but sound quality varies between station and song which is to be expected.
The bluetooth function works, but it seems like the volume level is lower than the built in FM tuner, but this could be specific to connecting with an iPhone. I have not tried any other devices. The volume level is still adequate for most uses, but it is quieter than the FM tuner.
The buttons all have long presses with nice rubber pads. The volume buttons work, but are not as quick to manipulate as a knob or buttons with shorter travel. Not an issue per se, but you'll find yourself picking a volume and leaving it there rather than adjusting it often.
Reception has been pretty good so far. The only issues I've had have been in a metal building with certain FM stations. I can't comment on battery life yet, but with my use so far, I believe the advertised 12hours is realistic.
tl;dr version - great sound, good features, better than a similarly priced bluetooth only speaker.
