Sometimes it's better to keep things simple, and this portable CD player does that. No bells and whistles unless you count the three preset equalizers, but it does what it was designed to do- play CDs- and it does it well. It takes two AA batteries, so if you're out and about and run out of power, it's easy to throw in new ones without searching for a charging station. No wifi or data plan needed, no charging cables, no subscription streaming accounts. Just easy, portable music. The enclosed earbuds are lackluster, so you will need to invest in better wired headphones or earbuds, but that's the only drawback.

Certainly a "throw-back" to the 80's but a lot of fun. The system sounds great and the included ear-buds are certainly better than what we had back then. Ear-buds are comfortable and include different cushions. Got this originally thinking that it would play via Bluetooth only to find out that they do offer one with that option (spend the extra $10 and get it). Because I was planning on Bluetooth, I expected that it would also have an AC adapter. Unfortunately it does not, which it clearly states is "an optional accessory, not included". Anyway, it sounds great, and will be a fun way for those of us who still have CD's to play them. With a little ingenuity we can hook it up to our "throw-back" stereos and listen to CD's once again. Really cool product

Certainly not built to last. It seems quite flimsy and I can see the case lid getting broke very easily so it is probably not a good choice for young kids. The anti-skip feature did not work very well at all. The sound through the included headphones is pretty decent actually, and is the best part of the device. Would work great for playing a cd on a table or something like that but not moving around. It is probable in the sense that you can carry from place to place but it did not work well for us going on a walk to test it out.

Even accounting for the relatively small price this product is not very good. It is too large to carry for jogging and skips too much even with ESP set. It would be useful if you have some CD's to take for example on a picnic to listen but only once you arrive. You can plug it into a speaker - you would have to provide your own cable to connect it since it does not use Bluetooth. The earbuds that came with it arrived broken. I did attach my own earbuds and tried all the settings. the Equalizer had minor differences in sound. The electronic skip which you can turn on/off did not work very well, but without it, the unit skipped even if you gently moved it. The sound was okay and if you have old CDs to listen to, it might be worth buying but the cost for the quality is a little high I felt. A lot of laptops come today without a DVD/CD built in, so you might find this a useful product to listen to music CD/MP3's while you did email, but you could not use it to load software. It has a feature to program the order the tracks are played, but I tried to figure it out and could not - it is not intuitive, and I don't see much use since you do have the ability move to the next track with one tap. I would only recommend this product if you have a specific situation that fits the type of use I touched on above.

Love my new Chevy Bolt but I couldn't play all my vintage CDs. Now I can! Player sound quality is better than expected, though only with cheezy EQ options off. Also sounds pretty decent through my good Bose headphones. Now, as for the included earbuds...straight into the trashcan.

CD does not play home made CDs! Volume is poor. It's okay for long train travels.

Happy with this CD player at first. The sound was great and the price extremely reasonable. After only 4 uses, the horizontal toggle that opens the player lid simply fell off? Very poor quality. As they say..."you get what you pay for":( Buyers Beware!

Waste of money! Didn't work right out of the box. No sound at all. Tried a couple of different sets of earphones, but nothing! It's supposed to play MP3 and other formats, but got an Err on a book CD. This was a waste of time even driving to Best Buy to pick up.
