Nice portable cd player. Bluetooth is a plus! If you have a CD collection you want to play, this by far is the most affordable CD player with Bluetooth I found so far. Power adapter port is available but you have to buy it separately. Two double A batteries wont last long but that’s not the machine’s fault.

Bluetooth does link to Android Auto. Now I need a power adapter for my car. Hard to find. Can Memorex help? I did find an indoor power adapter online that works, and my old deluxe headphones also work with this player. I would give the product five stars if it came with options to buy power adapters that are certifiably compatible with this product.

I am quite impressed with the sound and the quality of the CD player which is much better than I had anticipated. Light weight, any to handle, simple instructions and nice and easy push button controls. Sounds better than a lot more expensive CD players. Looks good and feels good, this one is a keeper and more than worth the purchase price.

    Don't Buy, Can't Return

I am extremely disappointed with this CD Player. Memorex used to be quality electronics. I purchased this player because my vehicle does not have a CD player and my portable Phillips CD player (12 years old) had quit working. My primary use is to listen to audiobooks. It worked for brief car trips but the first time I tried to play an entire CD, it shut off well into the disc about track 11. It would resume play at the beginning of the track where it quit and then shut off again. After cleaning the CD, changing the batteries, it finished the disc. Starting a new disc, the same thing occurred except it played only into the first track and then shut off. This occurred again and again. It was truly frustrating. If you can't listen to an entire CD without the player turning off, it is no good for car trips or any other reason that you might be using the CD player. And all of this started after my 15 day return period but less than 30 days after I picked it up. Warranty requires you to pay for shipping and handling both ways - to the warranty location and then back to me. Which begs the question - Is this CD player worth the shipping costs? And what if it still doesn't operate properly when it comes back? I want a product I can depend on and a retailer that stands behind their products for more than 15 days. I won't be shopping at Best Buy again.

    Major Improvements Needed...

This CD Player leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately... For the $30 price-tag, this player feels very cheaply made. It's made of cheap plastic and the buttons don't feel like they'd hold up for very long. The Bluetooth Transmitter in this is also very weak. Its range is appalling and it has the tendency to stop and start-up again during breaks. This is especially noticeable when listening to something like an audio-book, where half of the words end up getting cut off because of the frequent 1-2 second long gaps between sentences. This doesn't seem to be an issue if you're using wired headphones, and on most music this probably won't be an issue, but if you're using a Bluetooth headset or connecting it to your car's Bluetooth setup, be aware of this. I definitely wouldn't recommend using Bluetooth with this device, and that's kind of the whole point of it... On the topic, regardless if you are using wired or bluetooth headphones, there is a very noticeable static all throughout what you're playing. And I mean VERY noticeable. Tested on a couple different pairs of bluetooth and wired headphones and it was the same on all of them. The battery life is also abysmal. I work a job that allows me to listen to music or audio-books while on the job. Frequently I will get audiobooks on CD from the local library to listen to throughout the day. On this CD Player, I had to go through two pairs of AA batteries on a single 7 hour work-day. And this is WITHOUT using the bluetooth feature! I can only imagine how much worse it must be with the bluetooth on! In comparison, on the previous CD Player I owned, a single pair of AA batteries under the same 7-hour work day would last about a week before needing replaced! The memory-function is nice, however unlike most modern CD Players (and those from the last like 15 years) it usually remembers the track and exact time where the track left off. This player only remembers the track, and not the exact time. While this probably won't be an issue for most as if it's in the middle of a song you'll most likely just restart it, but for someone like me who listens to audio-books, where tracks can be upwards of 30 minutes long, this is a huge annoyance. The only redeeming feature about the player is the ASP (Anti-Shock Protection) which does seem to do its job like advertised. Dealing with CDs from the library, some older, that have been in the hands of multiple people leaves a lot of the disks scratched so this feature is a must for me, and it did deliver well! Did not notice any skipping even on some badly scratched disks! But that one redeeming feature, which literally every other CD Player can do well anyway, is not worth it for me to recommend this player. While you will have to pay a bit more, if you are looking for a CD Player with decent Bluetooth functionality, there are better options out there. I would not recommend this player.

Good Aesthetics but Very Low Quality

I like the aesthetics of this CD player. Looking past the aesthetics, this is CD player was made with a low quality design. Pros: 1. Very good sound quality when using a pair of wired headphones. NOTE: I use a pair of JBL headphones with this CD player. The earbuds that came with this CD players does not have good quality sound. 2. Pairs well with Bluetooth devices. Cons: 1. The sound quality from the Bluetooth connection is significantly downgraded. 2. The dynamic bass boost function DOES NOT work in Bluetooth mode. 3. The buttons make loud snappy noises when pressed. This is a huge disappointment coming from a brand like Memorex.

Great Portable CD Player with Bluetooth!

This Memorex Portable CD Player with Bluetooth is a great portable CD Player! It's got all the features I remember and would expect with the addition of Bluetooth 5.0 and longer electronic skip protection - well, I only remember around 10 second skip protection. Why did I want a CD player? For one we still have a bunch of CDs I haven't taken the time to convert to MP3. For another reason our one car does not have a CD player. Now we can play our CDs in that car, even without cords, using the Bluetooth 5.0. I gave this CD Player 4 stars for two reasons. First, it doesn't include an A/C adapter. You may not care but even though I think the battery life is good it's going to eat batteries without one. Secondly, the Bluetooth requires that you repair it to the speaker etc. every time you turn the CD player off and back on. That's specifically stated in the manual. I guess it makes sense that it uses a different pairing method since there is no interaction required to pair other then setting both devices, the CD player and the speaker, into pairing mode each time. It's just a pain if you always want to use it over bluetooth with the same device, you need to keep re-pairing when the speaker or the CD player is turned off. The Bluetooth does work reliably and gives great quality sound. Sound Quality The included earbuds work fine but are nothing special. I tried it in a car, with a Bluetooth speaker, and with a few different pairs of headphones, wired and bluetooth. With good headphones it sounded was great. Especially with the DBBS (Dynamic Bass Boost System) which definitely enhances the bass. I had no problems with the sound quality and the skip protection seemed to work perfectly on a 1.5 hour car drive. Design Overall, the design is small and simple. The player is a circle with a diameter that isn't much larger than that of a CD. Two things which may seem minor but I really like are the battery compartment door is attached, not separate from the player when you open it and there's a slide to open the compartment where you insert the CD. I like the slide better than a button so you don't bump a button and open it by accident and the slide is easy to use. The door for the CD only opens 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees or something close to that. I was still able to insert and remove CDs without a problem. The buttons are almost too clicky but you probably will not press them by accident and you will know when you do press them. Controls include play/pause, stop, next track/FF, previous track/reverse, repeat/repeat all, random, and into. Battery Life It does includes 2 AA batteries. It doesn't include a power cord but at least it can use one if you wan to buy one. I think battery life is good, rated at 8 hours, which I think is about what I'm getting, but be ready with spare batteries. Some Notes - It has programming which I did test and works fine, letting you set which tracks play on a CD and in what order. - The volume comes set at 30 which is high. You probably will only need it at 5-15 most of the time with headphones on so make sure you lower it before you up start music with headphones/earbuds. - This CD player plays Audio CDs and MP3 CDs either from commercial disks or CD-R/CD-RW disks. - It has has 100 second skip protection for MP3s, 40 seconds for CD's. - There's a switch on the side for Dynamic Bass Boost System. - I saw in the manual that you should take out the batteries if you're going to use an external power cord.

This is my first portable CD player. It’s quality is quite good for the price. However, the Bluetooth function didn’t work well for me. I sometimes lost the signal of the player when listening to music using Bluetooth. I don’t know if it’s because of my headphone or the function itself. Another thing is that after about 3 or 4 hours, the batteries die and you have to change them. Also, there is no way I can tell if the battery is full or not even though there is an icon on the player. In general, the CD player it’s great for beginners or people who likes listening to CDs as a hobby. Better buy rechargeable batteries for this.

Good product, good quality sound, reads all cd formats. I like the fact it always stays at sound level you set when starting a new cd unlike my previous product. I use it to listen to books at night, I can’t see the button locations or feel the location because it’s smooth surface. I had to add sticky bumps. When it finishes a cd it stays on the last track, you have to cancel/stop the cd to enable you to start from beginning of the cd to find the desired track location
