For the price you cannot beat this deal. The sound on it is as good as my iPod Shuffle! I had no real problems with this MP player other than the navigation is a bit clumsy. The FM tuner works fine even indoors. You do not need to use the software that comes with it to load your MP3's. I found that it works with Realplayer and J River Media Player. The battery life seems to be good too; however I only played mine for over 4 hours with plenty of charge left. I would buy this as gifts for my family and friends without feeling I gave them a faulty product.

the earbuds that come with it are not worth the material it's made out of, so you have to buy another pair. this doesn't have much for volume control but it has great sound. So far it has been pretty durable. It's ok if your looking for something cheap.

I like the screen size and the ease of use in set up as well as moving music onto the player. This is a gift for my father in law. Converting his old LP's to digital and loading them on the player. So far, 8 or so albums, and seamless process. I haven't the features or playback much, just enough to test that they work but seems to be a very good value for the money. The memory size (8 Gb) is perfect for what he will use it for.

This MP3 is not very easy to put music on to. I had a hard time trying not to install a bunch of stuff it wanted me to use. I did find a way with Winamp. It allowed any music no matter where the music came from to upload easily. I have had little luck uploading any video. Maybe I need to find a conversion program because what ever files I have are not in the right format for the MP3. But, I have yet to really play with this feature. I did buy a refurbished model. So far no problems. I can see how the bottom left button may stick or wear out. There are 2 out of the 6 buttons you really use a lot. I screen is good sized but as I said no videos yet to test the quality. I bought this mostly for working out and it has been fine for that. I would suggest getting another MP3 if you are looking for much more out of it.

Overall it is a good product. The menu is hard to navigate and the battery life is only 3 hours. The large screen is nice and the e-book feature is cool. The player plays music well.It is a overall a good product.

I initially got a 4 GB Emerson mp3 as a gift, and the volume button would stick, so I started looking for a replacement that I liked a little better. I am not super tech savvy, I simply wanted a great MP3 first off and also the possiblity of having features such as pictures, videos, etc.....I think for the price, you really can't beat this deal. The player is super thin, and can easily fit in a pocket. The overall look of the player is also very stylish and cool. I think the music player itself is fine, it's LOUD, the factory ear buds don't suck and sound pretty good. You can customize the EQ which I like and also pick from several presets. I had trouble with the Random Play mode not being so random (playing several of the same songs over and over and skipping others). I loaded some pix as well, in whatever size or format you upload them from that's what size they will be on the player. As far as I know, you can't zoom in or anything like that. The picture quality on the screen is great, I haven't tried to upload any videos or text yet, so I can't comment there, but if you look at any other 8GB devices you will easily get into the hundred dollar range, and when you think about how much an 8GB ipod touch costs, I think you'll agree, that this is a good buy. Don't get me wrong to try to compare this device to the ipod wouldn't be right, but Memorex is a well known brand with years of history. I had no reservations in buying refurbished from the factory. To reiterate, I think for the money and storage, this is a great buy, it may not be the most technical device on the market, but for the price, it's awesome.

I GOT IT AS A GIFT FOR MY HUSBAND SO HE CAN LISTEN WHILE GOING ON HIS HUNTING TRIPS OVER THE WEEKENDS. IT WORKED FINE BUT I BOUGHT IT FOUR MONTHS AGO IN NOV/2009 AND ALREADY THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SCREEN OF THE MP3 PLAYER. I TURN IT ON AND THE SCREEN GOES BLANK. IT WAS RIGHT AFTER MY HUSBAN D WAS CHARGING IT ON HIS COMPUTER. I GOTTA GO TO BEST BUY AND FIX IT. I'LL WRITE ANOTHER REVIEW WHENEVER I GET TO WORK OR NOT.

For the price this item is acceptable, I don’t like the headset that comes with this mp3 player but that’s easily remedied with a pair of new headsets that’s comfortable to you.

Great MP3 player-easy to use, the picture color and clarity is amazing for something so small! Would hignly recommend-great buy-great price.

Memorex is a good company but the unit I got wasn't that great. I had it two weeks and had to ship it back to California because it just kept shutting off whenever it wanted to even though it had plenty of battery. Maybe I got the odd duck in the pond but I'd think this over before I'd drop the dough again.

one of the easier players i have had and a great value for the price

I baught the factory refurbished 8GB memorex digital media player. I was hoping it to be a cheap alternative to a comperable I Pod and it absolutely is. It is just as sleek and stylish and works every bit as well as a comperable I pod but for less than 1/3 the price. It is a refurbished model but is like new in every respect as far as I can tell.

THE ITEM WAS REFURBISHED AND WHEN I RECIEVED IT THE ITEM NEVER CAME ON. I CAHRGED IT OVERNIGHT SND STILL NOTHING. THE ONLINE SET COULD BE INSTALLED EITHER. THE PRICE WAS GOOD FOR THE PRODUCT IF IT HAD WORKED.

Nice mp3 player. Will play tunes in order if you select play all. However, if you select to play a single album, it reverses the order of the tracks. Checked the manual, suggested naming tracks with 01, etc. listing. same result. There is no way to change the settings. Too bad, could have been a useful player. I'll just store backup data and do more research next time.

My teen was eager for the higher priced product but it would taken him months to save up for it. He happened on this product on bestbuy.com and I approved his choice. He purchased this player with gift money, was able to use it easily, and hasn't stopped smiling since it arrived. The icing on the cake was being able to get complete information online so we didn't have to shop around.

i dont recommnend anyone between the age of 15 and 40 to purchase this mp3 player this mp3 player looks cheap and is light wieght i did not like it at all if you dont like high tech stuff this is perfect for you
