Compact boom box puts out fairly high quality for a most reasonable price. Controls are easy to find and use/adjust. Unit is light and easy to move, and to store or locate in a small space. Excellent choice for a student room, sewing/writing nook, TV room (when all you want is sound). Not quite five stars because it's a small, inexpensive boom box--but an excellent value for the price.

I never really got to test the item as it arrived damaged. The CD player did not work and that was actually why I purchased this item. The radio worked great and it had relatively good sound for it's size. I was disappointed in the way that Best Buy handled the return and ended up eating the shipping cost for both delivery and return on the damaged item - a cost almost the same as the item itself. I would not recommend purchasing a refurbished item over the internet from Best Buy.

I purchased the refurbished boom box; it arrived and would not play CDs. It was not a sophisticated unit; I tried everything, including reading the instruction manual. Beware of Best Buy!

Tinny sound with no controls to increase base etc...
