Having been a Civil War buff after setting foot on the fields at Gettysburg, I will watch every thing I can! The first season was brilliant, and this second season had some very heart wretching moments! I cannot wait for season 3

During the civil war in the hospital settings the interaction between union and confederate people are interesting. when you see the enemy up close it is hard to deny their humanity.

Wow! PBS is consistently turning out excellent and absorbing tv shows! This is one of them. The acting is well done and the stories are so nuanced.

I really enjoyed the new season.The actors are very convincing in the characters they play.If you like civil war drama this series is for you.

This was just the early beginnings of the war, meaning nobody knows that the war has many years to go. Supposed to be about the conflict involving the south more than the north. Talented case but needs more plot twists.

This season just as good as the first. It follows the story between doctors and nurses during the civil war in Union-occupied Alexandria, Va.

I like history shows and this is a good show I'd recemend it its a better buy than on the pbs store its cheaper

Mercy street is well done story of an important part of the civil war

It's a good series. I missed out on a few episodes the first season, so purchased both seasons to enjoy.

Interesting insights into the Civil war. Quite graphic at times.
