These VR goggles worked well with my Iphone 7+. A little snug to put the phone in, but they are designed for a device of this size and it does fit. The adjustments on the lenses were a little cumbersome at first to get everything adjusted properly but worked well once I got them where I wanted them. The image quality is pretty good. The buttons work well for interaction on the device. Unfortunately for me, the motion involved in using a true VR experience interacts poorly with my motion sickness that I've been plagued with since I was very young, so I can't wear these for very long. These are labeled as good for glasses wearers and while I am able to wear them with my glasses, they do push on the frames (they aren't large frames) and can make for an undesirable experience. Overall, these are great for the price. You aren't going to get a full-on experience like you would with the Oculus setup, but consider the difference in price.

I bought these goggles because the box says it fits the phone I have a Samsung S5 Active. First of all it is a job just to get the phone inserted correctly. These goggles do NOT fit very comfortably with pressure all around. The cheap foam tore in half within 15 minutes of use and that had the phone falling loose. There are better goggles cheaper in price that work 100% better than these. Do not be fooled these are not very good at all.

This is my first experience with VR and it is pretty cool. These are made of a soft foam which makes them comfortable and protects your phone at the same time. Adjustable lenses work very nice as well. I think the only thing missing would be a remote. For a basic set of VR goggles , these are a winner. I even got my Note 8 to fit with a little stretching. Not ideal, but it works for most apps. I look forward to new Apps and video's to try.

One of the most comfortable VR/AR headsets

The Merge VR Goggles is a well built Virtual Reality (VR) headset and gives you all the thrills available in VR with an Android or iOS device. This headset can also handles Augmented Reality (AR) by using the rear camera on your Android or iOS device. The headset is very comfortable to wear as it's made of a soft yet sturdy material and the head strap is easily adjustable. Adjusting the lenses for VR or AR use is pretty straightforward as well. The mobile device I used with the Merge VR Goggles was the Google Pixel and I had no issues getting apps to run in VR or AR mode when inserted into the Merge VR Goggles.

These Merge VR goggles are a nice step up from the cardboard ones I’ve used in the past. These are made with a soft foam, flexible where it needs to be, comfortable on your face and protects your phone if it drops. These have several adjustment points, the strap on top and sides can accommodate various head sizes, and the lens are also adjustable they can move in and out with the squeeze of two buttons. The top buttons are also used to interact with the applications when the goggles are on. Unlike other VR goggles, the MergeVR goggles works with the “AR/VR Merge Cube” (sold separately) to add a new dimension to your gaming. I used this with my iPhone 7+, it was a snug squeeze to get them into the goggles. This accommodates phones from 123mm to 158mm (iPhone 7 plus is 158.2mm). I tested these goggles out with a few apps that I found on the MergeVR.com website. The goggles work well and are very comfortable. It looked like I was walking across a tightrope between the empire state building or lying on a beach Philippines. The best app I came across to use with this is “YouVisit”. Go on a boat in Croatia without leaving you living room, or sail across the Mediterranean and visit Greece! It’s a unique experience, my kids tried it as well and loved it! I can see this taking off for advertising. Imagine touring a cruise ship or a hotel room virtually before booking your vacation. The only con I would have to say is taking my phone out (which I had to do frequently), since it was so snug, but it did feel secure. If you’re looking for VR glasses, you should give these a try.

My kids (ages 3,6 and 9) can’t put these down. They love them. I agree. Super comfy fit. Easy to adjust the lenses to fit the different face sizes. Solid construction. I am using an iPhone 6s Plus and it fits (without the case). Pretty good choices of VR apps and videos out there. The kids ask me alll day if they can use them. They really like them. I would definitely recommend these and the price is good.

    Easy to Use VR Goggles

These virtual reality (VR) goggles are easy to use right out of the box. Even though Merge has a website to help you find apps, you can use them with almost any VR apps out there, including Google Cardboard apps. Right out of the box the goggles were easy to adjust and figure out. Simply download a VR app, turn it on, and stuff your phone into the goggles. Once the phone is in, you may need to adjust the goggle's lenses so that everything is in focus. Most apps are designed to work with the same buttons that are on the Merge goggles (pushing the buttons really just touches the screen and advances the program or selects the option you are looking at in the app#. Also, many apps ask you to scan the QR code of the goggles so they can make sure they use the right settings. I scanned the Merge goggles with 3 different apps and they all recognized the QR code and worked with the app and goggles. The only negatives I have to say about using the goggles is that sometimes it is hard to get the apps into really good focus. It's kind of like using binoculars and trying to get both eyes in focus. I'm not sure if this was from the goggles or from the apps, because some apps seemed to focus much better than others. I will give these VR goggles the benefit of the doubt on that and rate them 5 stars. Overall, they are excellent goggles that work with almost any VR apps as well as the Merge Cube (sold separately).

I have seen several types of VR goggles, and these are by far the nicest design yet. Pros: 1. Comfortable fit to my face. These are pliable, making them comfortable to wear and easy to adjust on a variety of faces. 2. Simple design. Not quite as simple as Google Cardboard, but FAR more stable with the head straps. Control buttons on each side allow either hand to control. 3. Sturdy construction. These look like they will last a long time and should hold up very well to my students's use. The foam is just soft enough to be comfortable but firm enough to last. Cons: 1. VR does not like me... after just a few minutes I could feel myself getting motion sick and within a few more, I have a full on case of it! Not the fault of the goggles, but just a warning to others who may have problems with motion sickness, I don't usually! 2. Some apps don't respond easily to the motion - again, not the fault of the goggles, the apps just don't match up to the quality of the goggles! Overall, this is the best set of goggles I have seen and are very comfortable to wear, I am just learning to appreciate actual reality more than virtual reality! I would recommend these to anyone wanting to get the best experience with VR. Try the Merge Cube with it for an interesting and immersive experience.

I ordered these goggles to offer my grands something new in entertainment when they visit. Mine came with a bonus “Cube” I tried the Cube first to see what VR was all about. Set up seemed confusing and I was unclear if I had to have an account to play, or just download an app. Finally got an app and used it with my iPhone 7plus. I found the Cube to be mildly interesting. With my iPhone I was able to see a chunk of cheese, fireworks exploding and a tiny castle sitting in the palm of my hand in 3D as I rotated the Cube. Granted I’m of the elder generation so I very likely “missed” something in the experience. Anyway, I moved on to the goggles. They are quite bulky and seem to be made of a soft foam type substance. They have a slot on top to insert your phone. I ran a test on the merge site which said my iphone 7plus would give an “excellent experience.” My husband has an older smaller Samsung that tested poorly. Next I went to the App Store and chose a couple of apps to try. I had to remove the cover from my iPhone 7 Plus to put it inside the slot on the goggles. Even then it was a struggle to get it in. There is definitely a learning curve to play games. Videos are a bit easier to watch in 360 degrees. Warning, if you have motion sickness, these may not be a good choice for you. I enjoyed my experience, but truly it is more fun to watch someone else using them. The goggles make you look like an “outer space” cadet with your head bobbing up and down as you engage in the action. Lol. My 19 year old grandson came over today. It wasn’t long before he had his iPhone 7 (small one) loaded up with apps and games. He walked on the moon, went sky diving and rode a rollercoaster. He really enjoyed the experience. He is anxious to play online “call of Duty” with his buddies. I’m anxious for my 11 year grandson to try it out. In closing I would say it is an interesting gadget well suited for the young generation. Would probably make good Christmas gifts for those who enjoy games and tech.
