Story opens with Robin Wrights character Theresa discovering a message-in-a-bottle while jogging on an Outer Bank NC Beach. She’s a research assistant for the Publisher of the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Garret Blake, a widower who has not emerged from the loss of the love-of-his-life, his wife, meets a divorcee with an 8 year old son. They are both scared and they make mistakes. But he emerges from a long slumbering sleep and slips into a romance of a lifetime that also has the complications that come with a new relationship and new found love. This films cinematography is nothing short of magnificent which enhances its viewing pleasure. Both Wright and Costner superbly acted their roles with a great backup by Newman (that smile of his will get you – count’em). It's an easy and believable view.

Both of the these are really well written and I enjoyed watching them with my friends and family. They both are really good love stories. They are must have to on DVD

Two of Nicholas Sparks best movies so far! Just as good as the books.
