My 83 yo mother is quarantined alone. She is not technologically savvy and does not have an iphone. This portal allowed me to connect a Facebook account. She is able to simply tap on the name of a Facebook friend to do a video call. It is so easy. She loves it. She also loves that she can see the pictures posted on newsfeeds from her friends.

During this pandemic quarantine, we needed a way to communicate with our grandmother, she not into technological but was able to learn how to operate the portal very easily. This was a true blessing for us, we were able to call her daily and seeing her was the bonus, the great grandkids call her every night. The privacy switch is effective and easy to use, she loves the fact that we can tag her on photos and they appear instantly on her screen as a screen saver. This device does offer many more options, such as music, recipes, Alexa and more. We will be purchasing more and highly recommend. 2nd Experince: a client of mine was involved in a terrible accident and was being treated at our local hospital, but required a higher level of care not available in our area and was being transported to specialized hospital 5 hours away, due to the pandemic and family traveling, we recommend to see if hospital would accept this device for family to stay on contact with client, they approved and family is able to communicate with client daily. They believe the device accessibility is even helping with client’s progress due to being able to still see the family via device. Thank you Portal!

I bought this for my 76 year old mother. She finds it easy to use and likes that the camera follows her. She likes the features. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you can’t use the voice commands with WhatsApp. My mom didn’t want a Facebook account so we went with WhatsApp. She loves this product but would find it much easier to use if it was able to be voice activated with a WhatsApp account.

In these times when distancing is dictated by common sense, being able to see family and interact via the portal is great. The picture is great and the camera seems to follow me as I move around the room. I love not being tied to my phone and can interact with everyone on the other end. Much more satisfying than a phone call!!

Cheaper than a digital frame and works 10x better.

Very easy to setup. I needed something that ny 96 yr old mother who is not tech savy to be able to see her kids and grandkids..this is just one touch and she is connected.....problem now however she might be toooooo connected with calling all the time.

At least 4 people but big enough to fit more people. Camera is crispy and I really love how it focus on you wherever you move. It also offers Spotify and a few other apps. My favorite feature when not using it to video call is you can upload your own pics and have them displayed on the screen when not in use.

Great for video chatting outside of Zoom. Very user friendly. Purchased for the family to video chat with grandma. Camera follows you somewhat (zooms in and out, pans a bit). Would be nice if it could swivel a little. And we like that you can close the camera and turn the mic off when you're not using it. Can chat with multiple people through Facebook messenger.

I bought this mainly to make video calls. Works great, easy to use, sound and video quality is good. The price is also excellent. The downside is that it is being discontinued, so support will be limited.

Its a good device for the seniors with less apetite for technology because it is easy to use, plus the pictures on the frame always reminds my mom of her grandkids which makes her more happy. I just did not like the fact that it does not have casting feature, but who needs it anyway if you can do it on your tv.

I use this as a digital photo frame. It is intended to be a standalone Facebook device, it has integrated camera and microphone. However, it can have a setup for a background photo slide - via app "Portal" you can check in single photos or albums on Facebook, which will be displayed on the Portal. You don't have control over the sequence though, i.e. the photo sliding is just a byproduct. It has apps, and it can do several video messaging apps, which probably is handy for older people - I don't see the reason for that for anyone who has a smart phone. The design is pretty neat, the panel quality is actually very good - nice colors and sharpness. It turns the screen off when it doesn't detect motion or decreases the brightness if ambient light decreases. I've got it on sale at $99, which is reasonable price. I don't think it is worth more than that.

I was impressed by the sound and the hardware quality. Facebook and Alexa integrations work great. I would give it 5 stars if it had more native apps. We ended up buying 5 units for my Parents and another room. Would wish it also had a battery like the new model.

easy to set up an use great for calls with friends, kids, and grandkids. the added graphics - changing your out fit, appearance, background etc are great for entertaining young kids. the story book feature is also great for entertaining the youngsters when not in use the portal acts like a picture frame - up loading and displaying the pics on your phone,

This is the perfect venue for communication with my mom who is in assisted living. She normally rejects any type of electronics except a cell phone. She has always had issues, the Portal was a different story. The ease of use the clarity of the picture and voice work perfect. Thanks

Wife’s mother loves it. Cell phones and tablets were struggle for her to use. The Facebook Portal is working out well for her. Although she is requires some help to use the portal, the size the viewing screen and quality of the sound is great for her. We spent sometime personalizing it with photos and contacts. Great purchase for these strange time.....

I bought this for myself and bought some portal Minis for friends that live in other parts of the country. It’s a great device to keep in touch while doing other tasks. The camera actually does zoom to you and moves around a bit. It’s nice, easy to use and overall a great purchase!

I purchased this for my mom who lives out of town and she loves it. The apps and video features are great. Zoom or Facebook video calling is very easy to use. Setup is very simple as well. Sound quality and video quality are excellent.

This was a gift for my parents, I also got 1 for my brother&family that live in another state. I got to use this and try it out, this month March. Great product ease to use, my nephew 4 year old uses it to call his grandparents all the time.

Facebook Portal 10” display works really well. We love how the camera follows and zooms depending on the people and movement in view. Only wish it was chargeable so we could have more flexibility using it instead of always needing to be plugged in.

It is a compliment. Looks great as a digital photo frame with a plus video call feature. It also has music and video, which we don't use. Really easy to set up one and multiple Facebook profiles. Manual camera and mic off switch is what sets it apart. Only wished it integrated another chat service like wechat so I can call the foreign parents too.
