Decent link cable bad charging while in use

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s a good link cable although i bought this for vrchat and was incredibly disappointed, i thought it would charge my headset while i played (Some people it does) not for me even though i have a 850 watt power supply for my pc. Again great link cable but not for extended use of time on the headset. It’s also a bit pricey the alternative i went for was on amazon (only around 30$) which suited all my needs rather then paying the huge 80$ price tag for a link cable that doesn’t even charge while in use.

I had to go out and buy a standard USB adapter since it’s a double ended USB-C and I don’t have any ports on my pc. You can buy better alternatives for way less money. At the same time, first party is always better then 3rd party.

But now there is an app for wireless computer access

This cable allows me to view my desktop while using the headset. I watch twitch live streams, YouTube videos, Netflix, check emails all while laying down in bed. This also gives me access to rift library of games.

A 16 ft USB-C cable should not cost as much as this. But this is not the fault of Best Buy. Also, the Quest is picky about what cables will work. It is best to just pick this one up.

[bad] Wires are terrible unless it’s for a driving or flying sim. It’s short compared to Vive’s wire. It matters It’s expensive. In my experience, the connection was more unstable than Virtual Desktop with a good wireless router Airlink and Virtual Desktop wireless are way better.
