I have mixed feeling about the Oculus link cable. On the one hand it is very high quality but it is also very costly. There are better options for the price but do your research carefully. The main value here is that if you are using this cable you have the best chance of getting a solid connection tethered to your PC. So if you are having connection issues this cable is your best bet that its not the cause. However many other cables that you could use will work just as well for a fraction of the cost. Again do your research and you should be fine. Remember you do not need this cable if you not playing games from your PC. The Quest 2 is a standalone headset and only uses a link cable when playing PC VR games.

Great option to avoid using air link. Cable is more than long enough for the space i use it in and a tight enough fit that i dont have to worry about it coming loose during movement.

The Meta Link Cable does what it needs to do when connected to the Quest 2, offering good speed and plenty of distance for an enjoyable VR experience. The connection is stable, and the cable length allows for great mobility. However, the outer cable feels cheaply made and not as durable as expected, especially given the price. For what it offers, I think it’s overpriced—you’re paying a premium for the Meta brand, but the build quality doesn’t quite match up. It works fine, but a sturdier design and a lower price point would make it a much better value.

I purchased this item for friend & it seems to be of decent quality. I read online that others were having connectivity issues with cheaper cables so I decided to sprang for OEM & it works as advertised. I still believe that this cable is grossly overpriced & should be no more than $40 & hence it loses a star.

I tend to always go for matching accessories instead of looking fora cheaper option from a third party. This is a prime example of that. While this cable is definitely a bit pricey for what it is, it works well and the build quality is good. Furthermore, if you experience any connection issues, using the OEM cable quickly rules out third party hardware being culprit. My only recommendation is to make sure to ONLY use this for connecting to your Quest headset. While this will work for any other device, such as charging your phone, the way the vertical connector is designed can either damage the cable or your phone if used for charging. This is because the connector is longer than standard which can create pressure on your charging port and the neck of the cable in the event your are holding it near the port while charging, drop the phone and catch it near the cable, or put too much pressure on it. This is easy to do because of the increased leverage with the head being as long as it is. Besides that, this cable does a great job of providing a stable tether to your PC or to actively charge while playing.

Works as promised. Bought to use Quest 2 on PC. Most of my VR library is from previously owning multiple Rifts. Most PC versions of games look and function better. While the right setup can be okay using the wireless link connection, the cables way is just superior. While it seems possible there are others out there. This is guaranteed by them. The price is hard to swallow. But I can say that I've never had a problem with it. And there has been no sign of twisting or deformation.

The cable does exactly what I needed, which is to charge and/or play Oculus Quest 2 hardwired to my PC. Few Things of Note Before You Buy: - If your computer does not have a USB-C port, even with an adapter you may get poorer quality graphics and probably no power charging during gameplay. - If you plan to sit in VR for 8 hours straight, turn the brightness down on the Oculus Quest 2 because it charges very slowly while playing. - There is nothing special about this cable besides it has the Oculus logo and a little velcro strap to wrap around the headset. You are paying $20 - $30 extra for the brand name. Ten minutes of research could save you some money, I have friends using generic cables and they work just as well fine. It's also fine to purchase this cable if you enjoy nice packaging and the L-shaped connector on one end.

No reason to be this expensive given the very average quality. Sat a bit loose on my quest 2, fits better with the 3 for some reason. No problems with speed, some connectivity issues with Q2 when playing.

Hello there, thank you for your review.
We can see that you are having some issues with the connection on your Quest Link Cable. Please see some handy troubleshooting steps you can take below.
If you're using a USB A to USB C adapter, make sure that it supports USB 3.
Some adapters are only USB 3 if the USB cable is seated in the adapter in one direction. The other may be USB 2.
If you're using a USB C to USB C cable, try unseating and reseating the cable in the port using different orientations, as some ports may only see USB 3 in certain orientations.
If you're using a PCI-E card, make sure that the cable is fully inserted by unseating and reseating it.
If you continue to have issues after attempting these steps. Please get in contact with our support team via the handy link below. One of our advisors would be more than happy to help.

The reason I'm giving 4 instead of stars here is that Meta's official link cable works as it's supposed to, BUT if you're wearing the Elite Strap with Battery you must unplug it from the headset first in order to plug in the link cable. Technically this isn't the fault of the link cable but rather Meta's design for the Quest 3 itself (which I must assume to be deliberate as opposed to a blatant oversight from a Trillion-$$$ mega-corporation). Perhaps at some later date a new cable or accessory (which will add still more $$$ to Meta's coffers) will become available to enable users to have the link cable and Elie Strap with Battery plugged in simultaneously, but as it is now it's enough of an annoyance to dock them at least a star here.

Bit the bullet and bought the "official" Oculus Link cable to use with my Quest 2. Even though the cost is high, I have been satisfied with it, for two primary reasons: (1) it's 5 meters (16 feet) long, plenty of length without having to connect two UBS cables and the issues that might entail, and (2) the cable is quite flexible, much more so than other long USB cables I've used in other applications, which makes using it (and storing it) easier. Do you *need* the $80 cable with a Quest 2? No, there are cheaper options. Does it work well? Absolutely.

Aftermarket cables don’t have the same quality of this one, but this one is a little on the expensive side. Buy it if you NEED it, otherwise use airlink, steam link, etc.

It's quite pricey, but it is longer than any other USB C cable on the market. Fairly thick but durable. Might be worth if you have a Oculus to use with this. Offers highest speeds and is standards compliant.

You won't need this unless you're planning on playing PC VR games. You'll also need a USB 3.1 gen 2 Male to type-C female adapter unless you already have a type-C port on your PC. This works great, but there are less expensive versions available.

I purchased this to connect my Oculus Quest (Gen 1) to my HP Omen PC. It works as advertised. The cost is a bit more than third party options, but after reading reviews of third party cables not working in certain ports or not supporting charging, I felt ti best to bit the bullet and purchase the genuine deal. I have no regrets; the cable works flawlessly and the quality and flexibility as exceptional. The length is more than enough and the 90 connector to the headset coupled with the hook and look faster keep the cable out of the way effortlessly. I would absolutely recommend this cable to anyone looking to connect their Oculus to a PC.

Cable works great! Long for vr and a solid stable connection. Issue is the price. It is EXTREMELY overpriced compared to 3rd party cables with half the price, but with somewhat slower speed. Only reason why I purchased this cable instead of the 3rd party is because I wanted to play for long hours so I wanted my vr headset to last longer when connected.

The cable is long and sturdy, feels like a good quality material. Best for people who want meta branded accessories.

For those that just now are getting the Oculus Quest 2 and this being your first entry into Virtual Reality and love the wireless freedom, but want to check out the additional Oculus Rift/S content and even Steam VR content, the Oculus Link cable is an excellent option. Yes, you can do Virtual Desktop or another app, but the simplicity of this cable as it can charge and allow your Oculus Quest/Quest 2 to now become a PCVR headset, works amazingly well. Not only does it allow you to connect via wire, but also charge your Quest 2, but the cable is very lengthy and it's the official one, so you know it's supported.

The price cost it a star. This light, flexible fiber optic usb-c cable will keep you from tearing up your Oculus port. I bought a cheaper heavier gauge, stiffer cord and was smart enough to stop using it before I damaged my Oculus port. Difference between the two was as night and day. No hang ups or lagging when I connected the Quest 2 to my gaming laptop for VR supported games. Would recommend keeping enough slack in the cord when doing physical activity and it probably won’t survive rolling your gaming/office chair wheels over the cord. Probably the most expensive cable for this equipment, but it beats paying to repair or replace your Oculus equipment simply because you wanted to save a buck. So take it from someone that has already wasted his money buying cheaper products…THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!!!

Works as expected for most of the time, sometimes i have to play around with the cable to make sure it gets detected with my pc. Pricey for sure but i think i couldve easily settled for a cheaper version out there. I dont really use oculus link because i dont have a strong pc but i know that i can once i upgrade
