I've been playing VR for quite some time first on the Rift, then Quest 2, and upgraded now to the Quest Pro. I am definitely enjoying the improvements specifically to the display quality. I know the resolution is about the same, but the OLED and pancake lenses make for a truly impressive and clear display. So far I've only done a few sessions about 45 mins to 1 hour and a half - the headset is very comfortable but due to lack of top head strap, I do find myself needing to adjust from time to time. The battery life is ample at about 2-3 hours of play time depending on game and settings. I have an Anker battery I pocket and plug in if I need more than that, but the included charging stand makes it rather unnecessary. Absolutely an upgrade over the Quest 2 but I would be happier to see it at a slightly cheaper price point. Still happy I got one. It's a nice piece of hardware.

Great Virtual Headset with one Drawback...

The Meta Quest Pro is a great tool for the Office or Virtual Professionals. The build feels high quality and the specs are very good. The overall feeling is premium. From the box to the materials used. It feels very comfortable wearing it as well. Is it perfect?...No. Nothing is of course. The only drawback I saw was the price point. This Headset is meant more for office use and the average gamer will not want to spend this amount of money for a gaming experience when there are other more affordable options. Overall - The Meta Quest Pro is a great tool for the office professional, but the price point puts it out of reach for the average gamer.

Fun games, improved comfort but falls short...

From the initial unboxing, it's been a fun experience though it's had some things along the way that make it fall short. Meta did a great job designing the initial setup so that it's easy to get familiar with the headset, it's controls, and tools to help refine the fit right out of the box in a matter of minutes to get the most optimal experience. Right away, you'll notice as I did that the overall comfort of the headset is MUCH better than any prior version, and the controllers feel different while at the same time feeling so much more natural to hold and work with. They also do work all around you including behind you which is pretty cool and not something the older version controls were able to do. The screens are improved with optics that are MUCH noticeably improved, but the resolution is about the same as prior versions of the Oculus from my own testing which could be in part the content hasn't improved with it. Aside to the games and how the controllers work which is down right cool there's not a ton outside of the augmented reality that's changed. As for AR and gaming, wow, it's fun and sure adds a whole new dimension to gaming and productivity. That said, this brings me to the first of three things I say this headset falls short on. First, the AR, while cool, does lack in clarity and resolution I was hoping to see out of this headset .You certainly cannot read/see text on things in the real environment with augmented reality as the resolution is that bad. I noticed it first when I had the TV on and thought the image just didn't look that good then tried to look at a tablet screen with text and it's pretty obvious the detail/resolution is just not there. There's also some noticeable lag and the overlay of the controls on the AR just looks plain bad like it's truly a first gen thing that's not quite perfected yet. For games it's good and does work for that and in fact I had a great deal of fun playing games with it but with it's lacking resolution I'm not sure how useful it'd be in a productivity situation like if you were sitting at your desk and using the virtual monitors and had to look at a paper or your tablet/phone. You'll end up just taking the headset off to look at it. For gaming, this VR headset is truly amazing and fun to play with in the AR mode. It adds a whole new dimension of play that you didn't have before and despite it's short comings it works excellent for gaming. Second, is the audio, while much improved with deeper bass and highly immersive audio leads to the second issue. While it could just as easily be my individual headset (which I am working with Meta to fix) the speakers buzz with the bass and did so from the moment of unboxing through the setup, essentially making them sound like a super cheap pair of headphones. This was extremely disappointing for such a high end VR headset and even if not an issue for all headsets it could be a sign of what listening at high volume may do to them over the long run too once you're out of warranty. Third is the displays and optics. Which the optics are improved and provide a very high level of customization for comfort and optimal optics the displays didn't seem all that much different in resolution from my original Oculus headset which was another disappointment. That by itself though didn't impact my thoughts on this review because the optics are far superior and gone are the days of the out of focus zones or "headaches" that the first generation VR headsets had because of poor optics and that is a hugely welcomed change. This then brings up the other issue, where after playing with it for 20-30 minutes horizontal static lines started appearing at the top of the display screens like as though the headset was getting too hot. After letting it set it seemed to stop doing it but nevertheless is yet another issue I had that I'm very disappointed with for such a high-end VR headset. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with the Quest Pro because of the quality issues and the lack of content and games that I was hoping might be available like on the console/PC VR. While you can connect this headset to a PC with a wireless adapter to have that experience, it's another accessory you have to get to have that experience which I can't weigh an opinion on but the console for gaming seems to be the way to go until Meta expands the library of content. Apps and games and either tries to tune the experience for more of a gaming experience or a productivity experience in which case there are better options out there as I didn't see anything in terms of apps that would allow you to use this in more of a professional sense which is another disappointment where AR and Lidar (like some phones/tablets have) technology could go a long ways toward making this headset what it should have been. Where it does make up some ground is on the charging station that's included. It does charge the headset and controllers all at the same time while keeping it together/organized - a huge plus. You can plug the headset in while using it like if you were watching a movie or using the VR desk/monitors with your laptop. Battery life is pretty good in my experience but for as big as this headset was overall I was hoping for more that way or maybe an included supplemental battery pack with a cord that you can plug in to the headset to extend overall battery life. If you're looking for a nice comfortable gaming headset, this headset is okay and is a good introduction to the "Metaverse" but I would be on the fence with recommending it over the other ones and it would depend on the use case. I'd probably stick with the other Quest 2 headset as the experience once paired with the new controllers will be very similar minus the AR if you want to sacrifice a little comfort and improvement to the optics (the adjustability in particular).

Way too much money for what you get. 2/3 of the cost of this are for features I don’t need. The fit is less comfortable compared to Quest 2. The controllers are good. Lenses are clearer and no god rays but refresh rate is lower than Quest 2. Same software as Quest 2. Eye and face tracking features are of no use to me. Neither Workrooms or Immersed remote desktop worked for me. Will wait for Quest 3 and be happy that i didnt waste my money on this. Will not have FOMO when Quest 3 is released.

I love it. They said it has bigger FOV, but I feel it's way bigger. The clarity is great too. For business I didn't try everything yet, but the laptop second screen app is great and immersed is better. I think Quest Pro is a real pro product not like some iPad Pro that isn't anything more than an upgraded version without real pro features. Controllers are big upgrade if you need them for the quest 2. Price is too much I hope they can put a Facebook account option and they take $500 off. Passthrough is great battery life is good too.

I bought this almost a year ago and i got to say compare the the Quest 2 that I also have for my kids. this device is defently a better buy but for the price of 1700.00 I think I could of not missed a couple of the small differences. I can do Augmented reality but if you are a simple guy like me who dose not have time to learn all these new software programs out there them it really is not worth the extra money. all in all I am happy with my purchase just wish it did not cost as much.

If you don't have any issues with spending the money on this it's a great upgrade coming from the quest 2. The new lenses are amazing as well, you are able to look around with your eyes instead of moving your head to look which is amazing! My buggest issues is that they expect you to pay even more money on the full light blicking interface, like i get that its a headset designed for enterprise but still.

Furst iff, the unit flosts on your head. Beautifully designed in that regard. The issues that i had, was every piece of this device, is worse then its 400$ counterpart, the quest 3. The worst, and what sealed the desl fir returning this, was the passthrough. Meta may fix it later, but as if now, the passthrough is blurry, grainy, and unusable. The only unique thing, was the eye and mouth tracking. And that only works in limited situations. For example, if buying for vrchat, your avatar needs to support eye tracking and mouth tracking. Both done in unity. And unless your svatar is cudtom built by a professional, it likly doesnt hsve it. So the festure is useless.

I bought this to play flight sims since the Quest 2 did not do such a great job. I will say compared to the quest 2 it is night and day and waaay better connected to the pc. The tracking is great and the picture is really clear. I wish that I could buy one without the controllers to lower the price. The controllers track great but I don’t ever use them. Over all I am happy with the purchase.

This is the best all in one headset money can buy right now. The visual clarity and fit is great. The build quality is a step up from other headsets. The tracking is spot on and supports all Quest software catalog. People complaining about higher resolution and the cost haven't tried it and upset they are not getting a Quest 3 this year. I love it!!!

Moving from a Rift S to the Pro was a huge leap in both quality and freedom of movement. For a wireless system, this is fantastic and the Questlink tool is great for directly linking to a PC to better utilize custom hardware and push the higher resolution of the Pro. The battery life runs about an hour and a half (1 to 2 technically) but that's more than enough for a good session and has about a 1:1 recharge rate. One of the only downsides so far would be that the partial light blockers are pretty minimal and the Full blockers (which are sold separately) still weren't getting close to the type of blockout on the Rift S. The other being that, without a dedicated router, the Questlink connection can be pretty spotty and drop the resolution quality at noticeably frequently. At this point the Quest Air-link isn't compatible with the Pro although hoping that will be fixed soon to improve the connection in the future. Overall definitely a nice upgrade and much more palatable with the recent $500 price drop.

I really really wanted to love it. It not disappointing is sad. I really cant understand the 5 starts reviews. I mean I love Meta and their products but this system is an incomplete one. The good: The interface is fantastic and the library of games is incredible. The system and the controllers feel premium and the quality is great! Moreover the controllers are the best controllers in a VR system, super responsive and very light. The not so good: The system was developed for professionals and people who do remote work. Seems like the people who developed this do not work remotely at all. Let me explain. Passthrough: The Passthrough sadly, is horrible. In a café in daylight I can barely see my phone, but I cant read anything around me. This is what I bough it for, to be able to work in the road .Is like one of those first phone cameras in the early 2000s. Display, is so pixelated that is unbelievable. You will expect better screen for this money. Just look in Alibaba for the screens. Privacy: How can I work remotely if you or a third party app will not let me use the app if I don't grant permission for video and voice recording? I mean is to much! Meta, I really love your company and this has a lot of potential. Here are some unpaid suggestions: Get better cameras for passthrough (Alibaba) and a better display(Alibaba). If you really want this for professionals, I mean privacy is a must. Recall the ones you sell and update them with better displays and cameras and you will see your product sell better. Sony doesn't make money selling the ps5, they make money with the interface, the games. Remember your reputation proceeds you and costumers do not forget.

It was built well but I wished it could be folded or detached from the headband for easier travel. After the initial excitement wore off it didn't feel as big of an improvement for the launch price. Had the headset been in the $800 dollar range then the improvements to me would've been worth it but not for $1500. The new ringless controllers impressed me the most with the speed and accuracy of the tracking without ever banging into each other or headset while gaming. Many of the other features like the eye tracking and improved resolution weren't being utilized fully in the games and apps in the first couple months after the launch. The $999 price now is tempting but the Quest 3 is only a few months away.

It has a cool sleek look and Its a lot lighter than my Quest 2. At first the 360 feature made me dizzy and I didn’t adapt to it for 2 days. All good now. Graphics are amazing and you get to have skin color in your boundary now. The controllers don’t have a halo which kinda sucks but its comfortable. When i signed in, my games were there but it didn’t upload my data so i had to start over in all my games. Not sure if that happened to more people or if I did something wrong. But over all, the Meta Quest Pro is a nice upgrade from my Quest 2 and I can’t wait to see what the Metaverse has to offer.

Out of the box the quest pro works great but wearing feels like you have your head in a vice grip, its very uncomfortable. I purchased a 3rd party kitvto upgrade the front and rear pads and it hads a over the head padded strap. This improved the headset by a big margin and it is now comfortable to wear. The image is very clear and sharp amd has good color reproduction. Its a big upgrade over the quest 2. It works great connected to a pc and the remotes do not lose tracking like the quest 2 does. While they do not promote this for games it plays them all and does a great job at it.

The quest pro has been a very seamless experience, compared to the VIVE XR Elite, which I could not change the refresh rate from 72 to 90 anywhere. The airlink is definitely much faster especially over wifi 6E. The controllers are fantastic for that 360 degree range and I can actually track behind my back. The only issue is with the partial light blockers on I can’t fit my glasses, but otherwise, only current headset that I can wear my glasses comfortably without them touching the lenses. I didn’t know it came with a charging dock so that was a massive plus. Overall great headset.
