I only bought this to update my collection, as I have the original PS2 titles, but I was very impressed with HD Peace Walker. Controls updated to near perfection, and a surprising amount of depth. I wish the gameplay chunks were larger, but as it is a port of a PSP game, that is to be expected. It certainly has whetted my appetite for MGSV. MGS3 is a nice port; crisp and smooth, but the controls feel dated after playing Peace Walker and MGS4. MGS2 looks the same as the original, running as 60 FPS. My least favorite MGS game, too many cutscenes and lame boss battles.

A jump right in and get to the action type game. It's one that you'll keep for a long time.

The rub on HD collections is they're a pairing of games usually from the previous generation meant to entice those with nostalgia for the originals or those who haven't had a chance to play them. And that's what it comes down to. if you know and love MGS but no longer own the games (like me) or haven't had the pleasure, then this HD collection is well worth it.

As a long time fan of the Metal Gear Solid series, this is a wonderful game to have in your collection, what with all of the games (except for 1) remade for the PS3 in HD. This makes Peace Walker playable and MG3 look as good as Kojima wanted it to look back when it was developed for the PS2. If you do not have MGS4, you would be better served getting the Legacy Collection, but this is a very good option if you want to either get into the series or already have MGS4

Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater were two of my favorite games on the PS2. There were still amazing more than 10 years later. If you liked these games or haven't played them yet, I strongly recommend doing so!

Great game! challenging and fun. It features a lot of great games in one package for a great price!

So far I've only played the first one. It was terrible. The dialogue and story were abysmal and the gameplay was extremely dated. Both of these would have been okay if you could actually play the game for more than five minutes without the character getting a phone call from his girlfriend or talking about random nonsense over and over again. If you don't already like the series from it's original iterations, don't start here.

Great games!!! Everything from the Metal Gear Solid game is great. I rank these games with the Grand Theft Auto games as the best games I've ever played. The only bad thing is it doesn't come with the original manuel other than that everything is great.

I own ps3 for this series. I believe it's a masterpiece. The game is fun and require thinking. The music and the gameplay is excellent!

Bought this game from bestbuy.com used...shoulda just bought brand new... All I got was the disc.. No case cover or manual ...just the disc...but the games are great ..
