This watch works as expected. My texts, including iMessages show up. Phone calls and alerts all show up on my wrist. Every so often I have to bring up the iPhone app to get it to sync. But it usually works. I could use more battery life out of the watch. Also since it is always connected to my iPhone, the iPhone has no down time. Usage and standby time are the same. However, since I don't have to look at the phone to see texts or alerts,it helps somewhat for the battery. Sometimes it is hard to see indoors. Works great

My watch worked great when I had an iPhone 5, but when I upgraded to 6+ I started having lots of problems. The watch began to frequently disconnect from phone Bluetooth. Frequent disconnects and reconnect caused rapid loss of charge. Instead of a charge lasting a week there were several times I didn't make it through a single day. Proprietary charge clip has been misplaced and replacement cannot be purchased anywhere! Watch is now useless.

I works well with my iPhone 5s but disconnects frequently. This is because my memory is low on my phone and can't update to the new ios. The higher ios would solve this. Wish Meta would add more apps for the watch. Also, wish it was more clear how to add outside apps to it.

Review emails and calls without having to dig phone out of your pocket. Also get the time, current weather and cell phone power status at a glance. Also control music playing on phone from watch. Really neat when exercising. Just wish watch would last longer than 3 days on a charge.

If you're an early adopter type then check it out. Got it on sale wilhen the price dropped to less that 100. Would not pay more than that as the functionality is glitchy - keeps losing the bt connection and its a pain to reconnect. You need the metawatch app which doesnt provide a whole heck of a lot of options. The watch gets alot of attention - i get asked just about every day what it is.

For the price I paid $40, didn't expect nothing wao! It works ok. Battery life is excellent. Expect disconnection if you walk farther than 10 or 15 feets from phone. It also freeze and restart sometimes. I use it for basic features, to know who's calling me and see who send me a text. If you are ok with that then buy this one. I don't regret buying it for $40 but I wouldn't pay more than that for this item.

Dont be fool by the price, this watch is great. It displays time, weather, favorite sports teams, stock, and more. The MetaWatch Frame looks professional and cool. I work in mine and it was noticed daily on how stylish it is. I caught it on the daily deal sale. Easy to use with phone app (iphone and android).

Works great with my LG L90. Doesn't really work with my L9 or F6. I think the simple way to look at compatibility is does it have BT4. According to the specs I can find the L9 and F6 should work but works fine with L90 which is BT4. This is a one way device. Shows number calling or if in contacts the contact name when a call comes in. Text shows a few sentences and well as most of contact name. Is really an expansion of display of widgets supported on cell phone. Will not input anything to your phone, only a modified display for the metawatch widgets (only a few) showing data updated via your phone. Widgets cover CLOCK,sports scores, stocks, weather, email, calendar and countdown timer. I don't care about sports or stocks. Would like a stopwatch and navigation widget, showing next turn and distance to it. Countdown timer is nice but can only set by a push for each unit to be changed. So you might have to push that button 30 times if you want to time 30 minutes, seconds, whatever. Fortunately you can remove time as well as add. So if you are counting down an event that is 35 minutes you can start at 0 and subtract 25 pushes rather than adding with 35 "plus" pushes. Battery life is OK. The metawatch website says should last several days. I find if using BT I can get about 48 hours. If I turn BT off for half a day I can get 3 days. Of course your mileage may vary... Cuts' my phones battery life by about 25% compared to not using BT at all, but my phone would still have 50% left after 24 hours of reasonable use now is showing 20-30% at the end of the day. Watch band is my least favorite part. It's a little too stiff for my liking, but imagine that's for longevity purposes. Display is amazing and annoying at the same time. Very readable if you angle the watchface right, Amazing in how well it shows in the brightest sunlight and dimmest street light after dark if you get that angle right.

Watch was fine for almost 2 weeks then it started getting glitchy and freezing...only thing working after that was the time. Called BB and was told I could take it to any BB. BB mobile sent me to BB store who gave me a store credit since it was an online only item and past 15 days of purchase...can't use store credit online I'm told and could not get gift card to use online...

This was my attempt to have a smartwatch, with my Iphone. All it did was draw my iPhone battery down at an unreasonable rate. Metawatch tech support, while good, didn't have any answers. And Apple simply didn't know the product well enough to know of any issues with this product. So I returned it. I wanted it to work, it looked cool and was affordable. But it just drained my phone battery, which I take seriously, and could not justify the battery drain with the benefit of seeing notifications, weather, sports, etc. on my watch.

As a disclaimer: I got this product for around $40, so significantly below previous asking prices. This certainly altered my expectations and value proposition. Usage: I use this device mostly in conjunction with work. I have to drive a lot, receive a lot of texts and e-mails, and generally need to know what time it is. This device is great for relaying that information to me when looking at my phone would be inappropriate (client meeting, hearing, etc.). It's also nice to make sure that I don't miss anything when my phone is out of reach or on silent. Performance: I had no issues setting it up. Battery life has been adequate. When I'm not using it, I turn off the Bluetooth and that will increase longevity significantly. The screen can be slightly hard to see on default, but the software allows you to inverse the color scheme, and that helped me. I use an iPhone 5. Negatives: Others have said this, but I feel like it could do more. Hopefully, new updates will take us there. Also, the music control didn't work for me, but I haven't tried it since the latest Sept/Oct update. I hope this helps!

Useful and reliable basic smart watch

This smart watch is very good. It will notify you about phone calls and who is calling. It will display your text messages as well Google emails. It will do that by vibrations. There is aslo calendar appointments app as well Weather. It aslo has few other small apps and widgets. Battery lasts about 4 to 5 days. For smart watch that is amanzing! You can aslo opt for software call Metawatch Community Edition, which allows you to do a lot more with the watch. For it's price, it's a still! I would highly recommend for anyone, who just needs basic notications, and can do without voice commands or a useless camera. I'm giving MetaWatch Strata 5 stars. Thank you for reading my review.

Simply said....I love my watch! I have received loads of compliments and inquires as to wear I got this watch. I also provided a coworker with a link and they purchased the watch, but is afraid to wear it because they don't want a scratch on it. Lol. Funny thing is that I wear this as a daily watch and have no concerns about its durability. Only drawback is the limited apps and inability to add additional apps, poor instructions included with the watch, and the periodic loading of data on the watch. Lastly, the battery life can be misleading, this is the cellphone battery data and not the smart watch which takes a little time to learn how to determine low battery life for the watch. In addition, as other reviews have stated it will shorten the battery life on your device because of the Bluetooth connections. I would recommend also viewing the YouTube video on this product prior to and immediately after your purchase. Even with all this said, I'm thinking of gifting myself the higher end model as a Christmas gift, I'm sure I'll love it! Lol

I really like the convenience of knowing when I get a phone call or text. I need to leave my iPhone 5s on vibrate most of the day, and the watch notifications are a great help. Running Bluetooth all day, does drain my phone battery considerably though. And there have been times when the watch loses the connection and I need to pair it again. This watch serves my needs until the iWatch comes out

Great watch for when you want to leave your phone in your pocket. Don't have to worry about it getting wet when you wash your hands and fantastic for using if your in a meeting or somewhere where its considered rude to keep looking at your phone when your waiting for important or not important text, email or phone call.

This watch would get 5 stars if it had a color screen and if it did not disconnect from bluetooth so often The screen also freezes periodically requiring a weird procedure of clipping and unclipping the power cable. If it freezes on the road, you are out of luck. Different vibrations for different results would also be nice. Constantly vibrates telling you the iPhone is fully charged. Great stock quote windows, daily and next day event notification, Automatic weather tracking based on current location is outstanding.

I use it with my iPhone. It's a really neat conversation piece but not very practical. First of all, it doesn't notify you of every email. The texts are good unless they are being rapid fired. There is a long delay between the phone ringing and the watch telling you who is on the line. There is also compatibility issues with the bluetooth in my cars (all of them) and the watch. Neither device knows what to do! Also, when I walk away from the phone until it's out of range, it does not automatically connect when I get back in range causing you to go through the connect process every time. Super annoying. This is a good first effort but I would wait until Apple comes out with one.

This is a rugged device, build for working hands. The contrast could be better and there are frankly too many control, six buttons Most useful controls are from the cell phone app. Where you choose from a somewhat limited number of features to display and though the monochrome display is crowded, it is large enough to be seen easily. In areas where cell reception is spotty the information (time /temp) my not update, easily solved by making your phone less dependent on the network. It has become my daily wearer.

The watch is a good notification watch but you can't see past calls or texts from the watch. If you receive a text and then a call or another text about the same time, the previous text can't be read and you have to get your phone out to read it.
