Fits my Civic like a glove. All plastic, but what isn't these days!

I recently purchased a Kenwood KDC-BT555U in-dash CD receiver at Best Buy. I decided to let the Geek Squad install it there. I was informed at the time of purchase tha I would need to also buy a Metra - Stereo Installation Kit for Select Honda Civic Vehicles to mount your car stereo securely . It works fine and looks good but was a little pricey.

This kit fits perfectly and looks great in the car.

I had no real problems assembling it other than there were two tabs that I had to cut off with a dremel to make fit. I realize it's a universal product, but nowhere in the instructions did it tell you to remove them, it wouldn't fit otherwise. After I cut them off though, it worked perfectly.

It works great, i only wish it was a little more beginner friendly, as pictures were not informative. Nothing a good ol' youtube video can't fix.

Looks seamless with my CRV. Replace standard Honda Radio which was twice the size. Getting docked one star because an additional purchase is required to get the radio steering wheel controls to work which is just as much as this unit with the labor.

The stereo I bought was a small one and it has a cubby hole to make use of the available space. This is the 3rd stereo I have put in the old car. The second one I installed myself but this one I used Best Buy installer for. He did a great job a lot faster than I could have done.

I have a 1996 Civic Honda and wanted to put a newer radio in my car. With this kit, the installer was able to do it, make my car interior look good, and voila, I have a new radio in my old car. Glad they still make these kits for people who still have their older cars.

The installation looks neat, but you can tell it is not OEM. You lose the little cubby hole door so you lose some storage. I'm trying to figure out a way to put the door back. I believe with a little yankee ingenuity I'll be able to figure this out.

Unfortunate that you need this in order to mount your new head unit, but it looks nice and secures your new investment quite well. Costly at about $70 and I do miss the factory kit which had a cover, but getting used to the open concept.

If you have a 1998 Honda Civic DX and want to change-out the factory radio, this is the way to go, as you'll notice that the radio has an angle on the side, not straight up and down, so have BB get you this special package for your Honda Civic. Priced about the same as many other units.

It's always a little scary to replace factory installed equipment with generic after-market items because of expecting it to look out of place but this kit fits beautifully and the install looks great. It even retains the storage cubby under the radio face. Very happy with how it turned out!

Comes with parts to fit many different cars. First you must read the directions. Then, this is important now, you must follow them. No problems. Had it installed in my Honda CRV in maybe 20 minutes.

Being an aftermarket stereo, the installation kit is a necessity if you want things to look like they belong. There were a lot of extra pieces left over, though, and my husband and I are finding it hard to figure out what to do with the ones we didn't need for our particular car. Hmmm...

Love the look of the new radio surround in my car. Really makes it all look new.

My existing radio had a sizable storage space below it, and I feared the new dash kit would not, however, it was just as big if not larger. It is a good fit and the radio looks awesome and feels very stable.

I bought this kit to install a single din radio in the place of my dual din dvd player in an 03 civic coupe. Quality of the kit is great, and the install was straight forward. Everything lined up great.

I bought this to allow me to install my stereo so I can take it out without having to take the dash apart. It fit perfectly, however, the instructions are severely lacking. Luckily I talked to a service rep first who gave me some pointers.

The bezel I needed was probably less than a 1/4 of the entire contents. It worked perfectly however I felt like I paid for way more content than I actually used. I installed a head unit on a 97 Civic.
Geek Squad needed it to install stereo in sons car. Neat adapter!
