For the price against all the other ones out there I feel this is the best bang for your buck! I've worked with numerous different backup cams and this one exceeds all others in its price range. 4 stars cause there are better ones out there just at a minimum of double the price.

I'm not sure what I'm missing with all these four and five star reviews, but this camera is awful. I bought it on the recommendation of the Best Buy installer and I don't know what he was thinking. The resolution is basically SDTV (480i) and looks horrible on my Pioneer 8000 NEX. Also, since it is "standard" definition it is stretched/distorted. I could almost live with that however the night vision is a joke - particularly considering I have strong backup lights on my car. It is horribly pixilated with large pixel "noise" and only useful for a meter or two. (see photo) In addition, there is no way this camera has a 170º field of vision. It's closer to 110º. Maybe slightly more, but nowhere near as advertised. In all fairness, I should have correlated the 2011 release date of this model with the five year old technology which it employes. Remember the first camera phones? Yeah, it's that kind of quality. Considering the majority of the cost in a third party back up system is in the labor, I would highly recommend you look at a different camera. I'm not sure what BB policy is going to be, but I'm assuming I'm going to lose all my labor charges when I return this camera and select a more modern unit.

perfect size. Placed it just above the receiver on my tow hitch.
