Any Metroid fan would be happy to have it. Wish it came with a lil more but beggars can’t be choosers. The art cards a beautiful The art book is amazing I’d say it’s fairly priced

The classic Metroid experience with a modern twist. Definitely a switch stable. Pick it up.

Metroid dread is my absolute favorite Nintendo switch game,this collectors edition with the art book and steelbook is nice,the book is bigger than I expected and is really nice quality with heavy paper and historical Metroid artwork,it is definitely worth $90 but not more,but scalpers are selling this for 2-3 times retail,I will never contribute to the unscrupulous practice by purchasing from a scalper

Well worth price for Special Edition for a Metroid fan. Where Special Edition can cost over $150.00. Besides the fact the game is a contender for game of the year. Fan or not of Metroid a must pick up title that will make anyone a Metroid fan. A game that must be played to understand atmosphere and game direction. A difficult game but rewarding giving a sense of accomplishment after challenging Boss Battles.

This is a fantastic special edition which ended up being larger than what I expected from the pictures. The art book is full of fantastic looking art and the art cards are a nice edition as well. The steel book is nice but I still wish they would have included the regular case of the game in here as well (which Nintendo did for other regions). Overall though a great addition to any Metroid collection.

This is specific to the special edition items and not a game review (I haven’t finished it yet). The Box - Really impressive. It is embossed and has several different textures and finishes that really makes it pop. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. This looks great on a shelf. The cardboard piece that holds everything in place even has a few E.M.M.I.’s embossed on it. Nice touch! The Steel Book - Very nice. The minimal styling works well as there is no text on the case, just Samus front and center. My only complaint is it’s not as stout as I was expecting, it’s essentially a heavy gauge aluminum. The Art Cards - Amazing. These are my favorite part of the special edition. They all have an iridescent finish similar to the box. Each has an emblem on top representing the shape of Samus’ visor for that particular game. I can’t wait to get these framed and hung in my wall. The Art Book - Really cool. I like that the cover frames this book as Samus’s mission log. The art within is organized chronologically by each of Samus’ “missions” (ie games). FYI the Art is representative of the mainline games included in the art cards (no Metroid Prime art). The cover is solid and pages are a heavy weight. This will hold up well. This is really a great special edition for Metroid fans. It is definitely worth it for the MSRP of $90. Oh, and for what it’s worth the is game pretty good too.

Great game with a great finish. Very happy to get back to the 2D roots of this series.

Awesome game from beginning to start. Even though most people is not impressed with the story (pretty much every Metroid is slim at that), but I found very entertaining the cinematics as well as expanding a little bit on the lore and stablishing some previous story that was left to the imagination. Gameplay wise, thumbs up 150%. Challenging but not punishing.

Best entry in the Metroid series. I feel like a kid all over again while playing it. Reminds me of the same excitement Fusion did at its time. The special edition is nice, but I feel the price is a little steep for just an artwork book, steel case and art cards. However, I love the Metroid series so I don’t mind paying for it. Awesome game and awesome special edition!

Great 2D Metroid game that as good as Super Metroid. I'm not sure that the extras in the special edition are worth the price though unless you're a big Metroid fan.

You take control of Samus through 6 dangerous areas of ZDR finding items and blasting creatures while finding secrets of the Chozo who are finding ways to destroy Metroid DNA which Samus has from Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. Jump, dash melee attacks and special weapons will help Samus defeat huge bosses and an evil threat know as E.M.M.M.I. Like most 2D Metroid games, the gameplay is smooth, fast paced, full of action, and tons of exploration, but you might uncover a lot of defeat meaning seeing lots of game over screens. As hard as it is, there is no penalty. Search as much as items as you can and memorize the boss’s patterns. After 19 years since Fusion, the wait for a new Metroid game was worth it. And Metroid Dread gave us no disappointments. The graphics and atmosphere of each areas in ZDR are fresh and greatly detailed, the controls are your standard 2D platforming greatness, and the story will keep you entertaining on what will happen next. If you love Metroid, then Metroid Dread is the one to pick up.

This edition of Metroid Dread is one that any fan of the series would love! This edition comes with some nice art cards, a steelbook that has a holographic coating, and a love letter book to the fans! And of course, it comes with Metroid Dread, just a beauty in every way possible.

I enjoyed every minute of this game. Simply awesome experience. Highly recommend it. I hope Nintendo continues to make more Metroid games as this series is a treasure. Oh, and the Special Edition is a beautiful collector's item. I love steelbooks and this one is very nice.

This special edition of Metroid Dread is awesome! It comes with the steel book of the game and a beautiful art book that has a hard cover, not only that it has the art cards, which are pretty cool. Im glad I was able to snag a copy before they run out of print.

Such a fun game. If you are a fan of the metroid series, then you should SERIOUSLY consider picking this up. It is a great game, not to mention the special edition comes with so many cool items.
