i’m bad at metroid but this is honestly a beautiful package for a collector!

Incredible special edition. This is my introduction into the Metroid series and I am not disappointed. Arguably one of the best games I’ve played in a long while. Beautiful game sequences and extremely well thought out. Definitely the most difficult game I’ve played and that has made it all the more enjoyable. SE is sold but but highly recommend buying the standard to play.

Horrible packaging best buy! This is collectors item and I received smashed box. Being long time best buy customer this is very disappointing. You guys need to learn how to do proper packaging especially with special edition collectors edition items.

This is sooo cool! The art book is amazing! The game as well is great!

The size of the box was actually surprisingly large. I expected the box to be not but a few inches larger than a normal sized Switch game, but instead it’s nearly three times as large. It is also heavy. The art book, being hardcover, feels very well made. The quality of the entire collector’s set makes the price worth it. The Steelbook looks gorgeous. And the art cards are very nice too! They have a shiny sort of halo-y effect on them. To clarify, this collection DOES come with a physical copy of Dread. It is within the Steelbook when you open the box. The listing says it’s “digital” for some reason, but it is not.

Overall this special edition surpassed my expectations. The box was alot bigger than I originally anticipated and I love the holograph look on it as well as the raised image of Samus, The contents inside are also great and the artbook again is much bigger than I thought. This is a definite must have for any Metroid fan!

If you ever played a metroid game, then you already know how it mostly plays. Gaining new abilities, exploring areas, getting powerups, fighting boss battles; the usual routine. Taking combat mechanics from 3DS' Metroid: Samus Returns, like free aim and parry, the controls feel familiar and allows for more control over Samus. I can see these mechanics in future metroid games going forward. An additional combat mechanic that I believe is new to the series is the slide, much like the slide in Megaman games. It allows you to slide into narrow spaces and transition smoothly into the morph ball form. This is very likely going to be in future metroid games as well. Runs at 60fps for a majority of the game, which is a treat, all while still looking beautiful at the same time. Overall, just another good metroid game. Familiar; yet feels new. Both first timers and veterans will enjoy this title.

WHAT AN AMAZING GAME AND AN AMAZING COLLECTORS EDITION

The special edition was glorious. Fantastic art book and art cards. Playing normal mode was a challenge for me, but I had fun playing it. Gotta love old school Nintendo games upgrade to high OLED quality. Beautiful! Metroid Dread is definitely my game of 2021.
