I have enjoyed this game quite a bit. It has pretty decent exploration even though there is a fair bit of hand holding. I didn’t find the NPC’s extremely annoying only slightly here and there. It has an open world area that feels forced into the game, but the main areas are solid. I have played all of the Metroid Prime Games to completion, 4 is not the best one but it’s definitely the best looking one. I would say it was worth the price to play it.

Retro studios doesn’t know how to make Metroid games anymore. The game world is just an open wasteland with 5 linear hallways to explore. A Metroid game needs and interconnected mazelike world and powerups that matter, this game has neither.

The visuals are impressive and gameplay is unique, different than other Metroid games still very good. Some people are giving lower ratings saying not quite the same but each game should be different. They're a high expectations because the game took so long but it had to go in a different direction. I like what I have played so far.

Whether you have played a Metroid game or not, Metroid Prime 4 is an easy one to jump into. Visually it’s a stunning game with beautiful graphics and smooth gameplay. It is a first person shooter that prioritizes exploration and puzzle solving while mixing in fun boss fights. There is a story in the game, but the previous entries were more subtle with story, so this one has a just fine as a standalone!

The Metroid Prime Trilogy defined my childhood growing up. After 18 long years, Prime 4 is finally here. And while there are some obvious and sometimes down right frustrating flaws, the core of the Metroid Prime identity is still there, and more gorgeous than ever thanks to its 4K and 120hz offerings. Not the best in the series, but still a memorable experience.

Its a pretty good game, but it is different than previous prime games. It does not hide its linearity very well and doesnt have many new things. It has pretty fun combat, but its a just a bit more refined version of any previous metroid prime game. I enjoyed it, but there are a lot of problems that I overlooked.

actually a pretty splendid time, the more linear stage design allows for extremely well done combat encounters and cool moment after cool moment for every area sol valley isn't very fun though so i'd try to lookup shortcuts and strats to speed up that section

The game has solid pacing, and ends without overstaying its welcome. No question this is Metroid at its core, but the direction may feel unsure of where it's headed. Long-time fans may leave disappointed that while this new adventure sticks the landing, the flight was relatively lackluster.

Great game overall Only issue is the fact it isn’t really a Metroid game It has incredible graphics and is probably the best looking Nintendo first party game But yea not really a Metroid game a heart

Very good game. I love the combat and boss design. Some of the design choices with exploring and progression let me scratching my head but these are mild annoyances in a really good game.

This is by far the best looking game Nintendo has ever produced. Mouse controls are very responsive, 4K visuals and 120 fps run very well. Level design can be questionable in some places, but overall solid game. By far the best combat in any Metroid Prime game to date. A must have in any Switch 2 collection.

Ive always been a fan of metroid and i was stocked for prime 4! Its a great game and has its flaws but it makes up for it in its world design, music, and atmosphere! Its also a very good starting point if your interested in the metorid series as it doesnt require knowledge of any previous titled to fully enjoy

If you are a Metroid Prime fan than you'll feel right at home. An excellent entry in the series. While not as good as the originals( in my opinion) it is still a fun time. Recommended

I've been a fan of the Prime series since it was originally released on the Gamecube. After waiting over 8 years for Prime 4, since Nintendo announced it, we finally got our hands on it. The game is.... fine (at best). The first 2 acts feel more complete but the final act feels like it was rushed (and the first 2 acts are very mid). Essentially this game should have been GREAT and is GOOD (at best). I would say pick this up when it's eventually on sale for like $30. But, at full price, I don't think it's worth it.

This game is an absolute must-have, especially if you played the original Metroid Prime on GameCube. It keeps that classic Metroid feel while looking and running great on the Switch 2. Exploration, atmosphere, and gameplay are all top-notch. Totally worth it for longtime fans.

I’ve only been through roughly 30 percent of the game. It’s still got the Metroid Prime style, but the addition of the other characters in the Metroid Universe might put some off. I really didn’t mind it as if they were to finally do a Metroid Movie, Samus would need other characters to progress the story.

If you have played the last couple of Metroids its more of the same. Good game, but nothing new and of course lots of backtracking to extend gameplay
