Customers often highlight the significantly improved graphics, refined controls, and the overall quality of the remaster as major strengths of Metroid Prime Remastered. Many also praise the game's performance and the price point. While some players found the difficulty and backtracking challenging, the positive feedback on the visual and gameplay enhancements outweighs these concerns.

Pretty dominant stance, honestly I don't think any of the games previously let you do it quite this nicely. Great T-pose, Samus. Keep up the good work.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a stellar revival of a timeless classic that proves why Samus Aran remains one of gaming’s most iconic heroes. This remastered gem, available on the Nintendo Switch, takes the 2002 GameCube masterpiece and polishes it to near perfection while preserving its core brilliance. The updated visuals are breathtaking, with vibrant environments, crisp textures, and enhanced lighting that make the planet Tallon IV feel alive and immersive. The new control scheme, featuring intuitive dual-stick aiming, feels natural and modern, making exploration and combat smoother than ever. The game’s atmosphere is as captivating as ever, blending eerie isolation with thrilling discovery. The remastered soundtrack amplifies the mood, from haunting melodies to pulse-pounding battle themes. Gameplay remains a masterclass in pacing—seamlessly weaving exploration, puzzle-solving, and intense combat. Samus’s arsenal, from the Power Beam to the Morph Ball, feels satisfying and versatile, while the scanning mechanic adds depth to the lore and world-building. This remaster respects the original while elevating it for a new generation, offering both newcomers and veterans a chance to experience one of the greatest action-adventure games ever made. Whether you’re navigating the Chozo Ruins or battling Space Pirates, Metroid Prime Remastered is a must-play triumph that sets a high bar for remasters. Highly recommended!

Every time I experience a Retro Studios game, I'm in awe. This remaster turned a classic into a modern spectacle. They fixed the twin-stick aiming and they gave the graphics a major overhaul. The fact that this runs at 60 fps on a base Switch with very few hiccups is amazing.

Wonderful, above and beyond what I would have expected. Looks better than nearly every other Switch game in the visual fidelity department...also runs at a rock solid 60 fps. All the modern control enhancements with the remade visuals (yes new 3d models and textures are implemented, not JUST an up-rez) make this feel like a NEW release. at 40 bucks this is a must buy.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a pleasant surprise from Nintendo. For the unfamiliar, it's a remaster of Metroid Prime for the GameCube that was released circa 2002. It's an FPS with platforming elements that takes place in the Metroid universe, with all of the atmosphere that would suggest. While the graphics and controls have been modernized, there are still a handful of aspects that show the game's age...such as the tedium of having to switch back and forth between beams during heated encounters later in the game. It would've been exceptional if Nintendo released the entire remastered trilogy in one package, but what we have here is just enough to stand on its own. Hopefully the other two Prime games get a similar treatment before too long.

Metroid Prime Remastered for the Switch is a stunning reimagining of the classic game, elevating the experience with enhanced graphics, smoother controls, and refined mechanics. The updated visuals bring the hauntingly beautiful environments of Tallon IV to life, making exploration more immersive than ever. The new dual-stick controls provide a level of precision that surpasses the original release, allowing players to navigate Samus Aran's world with ease. With improved audio and quality-of-life features, this remaster not only honors the legacy of the original but also introduces it to a new generation, making it an essential title for both newcomers and longtime fans.

Metroid Prime Remastered is a masterpiece. It is a faithful recreation of the original game, with updated visuals, controls, and features. The game is still as challenging and rewarding as it was when it first released, and it is a must-play for any fan of Metroid or first-person shooters. The game's visuals have been completely overhauled, and they look absolutely stunning. The environments are detailed and atmospheric, and the enemies are brought to life with new models and textures. The game also features a new lighting system that creates a more realistic and immersive experience. The controls have also been updated, and they feel much more responsive and fluid than they did in the original game. The game now features gyro aiming, which allows for more precise control over your shots. You can also choose from a variety of other control schemes to find one that best suits your playstyle. In addition to the visual and control updates, Metroid Prime Remastered also features a number of new features. The game now includes a new difficulty mode, a new scan visor, and a new challenge mode. There is also a new art gallery that features concept art, character models, and other behind-the-scenes content. Overall, Metroid Prime Remastered is a fantastic game that is sure to please fans of the original. It is a faithful recreation of the classic game, with updated visuals, controls, and features. If you have never played Metroid Prime, now is the perfect time to experience it. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Amazing! So fun! If you liked the original, you'll likely love this one. Graphics have been upgraded and it almost looks like a modern game now! Has all the flaws the original had as well. Still too much backtracking through Magmoor Caverns. But the controls have been improved so not as much of a learning curve for people who've only played modern shooters. It now supports dual analog control.

While Metroid Prime 4 is still on hiatus, Nintendo and Retro Studios have gone back to their roots by remastering one of their classic GameCube title and Samus’ first 3D adventure in the world of first person shooters Metroid Prime. You take control of Samus Aran on a mission to discover the secrets of Talon IV while blasting deadly alien creatures and collecting items and weapons along the way to power up Samus’ armor in order to defeat the Space Pirates and life sucking Metroids. With this new remastered release, the graphics/visuals are beautifully stunning and bright compare to the original GameCube release which was dark and shady. Landscapes are also imaginative. Whether in the hot magma of Magmoor Caverns or in the Wintery ice of Phandrena Drifts, the scenery is just mind blowing. Unlike the 2D Metroid games which are sidescrolling Platformers, you control Samus in a first person perspective while tackling 3D environments and tricky platforming. As hard as that may be, there are times you can miss your jumps as you can barely see the platform unless you look down after jumping so it will take some time to maneuver those jumps. As for the combat, it’s by far the best and Metroid Prime Remastered does a sensational job with the controls. No longer must you hold buttons to look around, and instead use analog controls which is very useful for players. With all these great new features, Metroid Prime Remastered is the perfect version of the original Metroid Prime for Metroid fans old and new.
