This product has a lot of great virtues. Sadly connecting to my Android on the Verizon Wireless Network was not one of them. The design is great, the idea is wonderful, having a Livestream feed for the online video feed, while it sounds like it works fine in a situation where you have a high-quality uninterrupted wifi feed or a wired connection, with the additional Boost, which I did not purchase. In their online Facebook Group, there are a number of concerns about collectability, many feel this is not fully tested prior to release in the market place. I would have kept it if my Sony Action Cam did not do pretty much the same thing, and used it as a video camera. The quality of the images was good, I just wished it did what I had hoped it would do, stream live to Social Media through my cellular data plan.

This is my second time purchasing the Mevo. The first, I got it on pre-order when they first released it. I then sold those away to a friend. But I’ve needed to stream a couple church related events recently, so I picked this one up. In the time that’s past, Mevo have really revolutionized their software features! This thing is really now a top notch product with flexibility for pretty much all my needs. For the price you pay, I don’t think you can find another camera that does even 1/3 of what this can!

I've been using my Mevo for over a month now and it works fine, for the most part. The sound works best in a big room or open area. In a small space, it makes you sound like you're in a fish bowl or in a box. Clarity is outstanding and the app is fairly easy to use. If you're a simple streamer like I am, using this can be cumbersome. You need to use your phone w/ the app to control the camera and see one comment at a time on fb live. Going live on your phone is easier. But, the picture quality makes up for that. Wide angle lens captures a lot more than your iphone does. Even in landscape mode. Battery life is not the best. I've done 1 straight hour before requiring to plug in. Don't use a USB charger to keep this on. It needs more power. So I carry the adapter with me at all times. So far, its been fun to use. Takes some getting used to. The feature I love the most is its size. Very compact. So putting it on a tripod in the middle of the room to stream an event, this doesn't block the view of people sitting behind it.

I purchased this 2 years ago for doing daily live streams from my kitchen. The best part about it was with a livestream premium account, I could stream to 10 different fb groups simultaneously so I could do multiple online parties with one demo. I liked the ability to zoom in and out using my device and I could adjust my mic volume and backlighting. This camera is small so you can place it anywhere. The fish eye lens allowed viewers to see a wide angle versus a narrow frame when using my phone to do live videos. Turning the phone sideways allowed a wider field of view but it made it harder to see comments. What I didn't like about the mevo is the short battery life. And the additional pack to get a bigger battery was another big investment for my pocketbook so I never bought it. The battery lasts about 45 mins to an hour when doing a live feed. I would have issues with connectivity mid stream sometimes and there would be a lag. It worked fine with no problems when I first got it. Now, it tends to freeze or lag often when I'm doing a live stream. Because I was doing feeds on FB, I needed a spare phone to control the camera, and my ipad or another spare phone to watch the feed so I could interact with the viewers. The comments pop up and disappear too fast on the mevo app. This made using the device a little cumbersome but I got used to it. I still use it from time to time. I no longer do daily live streams but once in a while I'll use it to film. Still works ok 2 years later.

So many variables. Works good if you have great internet speed. It gives you more of a fish-eye look in small spaces. If you're doing a show, need someone else to control the shots because if you're speaking on camera, you'll look crazy constantly looking down. You can only control the shots so many feet away from the Mevo. It doesn't work well on a public network. With the new updated version, it's hard to set the shots you want. Some of the shots automatically set.

Love this camera.! I don't use it as a live event feed. I use it for B roll footage of public speakers, so that I can cut in views from different angles. I keep mine plugged in during filming. If you don't plan to do that you may need the add on battery.

This may be the older version and not have as good Wifi range, but the software is what makes this product great and they continue to improve it. The 4K wide angle lens is great for school events, music shows and even sports like baseball. I've recorded 50+ hours of video with it and think it is great for streaming and recording for post editing.. Again the software that runs on your phone to control it is what makes it special!

It's amazing how something so small can perform like a pro. It's fun being the "director" and creating live videos with different visual transitions. I use my Shure MV88 microphone connected to my iPhone, and the sound is excellent. My only complaint is, I wish there were a lens cover protector.

I have owned and returned to manufacturer multiple units. Finally the firmware is stable and reliable. Maybe the product was rushed too market. I can't say enough about this device and even better things about Mevo/Livestream support. I do wish they made a cover for when unit is not in use though on tripod or stand.

The only issue you might have with this product is that you need to have hi speed internet to live stream well. Other than that this is a great product. Upload speed needs to be at least 3 mbs to work well.

Great picture quality. Easy to use. Like having multiple cameras to shoot a scene.

Does everything as advertised. Amazed at the quality of the video for something with a fixed lens.

This camera is easy to start live videos and zooms and pans with ease. I haven't had any problems streaming and it is super small to take anywhere you want.

The 4K sensor in this camera takes excellent video. The companion app's ability to control this device and stream to different services seems to work pretty well. I wanted to be able to use the camera in addition to others cameras though, and for that you have to buy their $800 studio software.

This makes a very fun product to use for live shooting. Great on trips, interviewing and live studio.

This is a very good camera, and I use it for a live streaming of a cooking show we do from my house.
